@AntiFurVoreGore@valvesoftware@Steam It seems you're running out of arguments and resorting to insults. While that might seem amusing, it doesn't address the issue. Even if the limit were to be raised/"reset"for everyone, it would ultimately lead to scalpers exploiting the situation once again.
@AntiFurVoreGore@valvesoftware@Steam "Fairness" isn't getting special treatment because you've been a user for a long time. It’s everyone having the same 1-unit limit so the scalpers you’re complaining about can’t drain the stock. You’re asking to be part of the problem.
@Lucradive@Wario64 There are rumours that the steam Machine includes one controller but these are just rumours. Not sure in which way you delay you order. Who knows how long they have the reservation system active. Maybe the controller will have a better availability in 1 or 2 month.
@Lucradive@Wario64 Once you reserve a controller, you're given 72 hours to complete the purchase. If you fail to do so within that timeframe, your reservation will probably be canceled, and you'll need to place a new one and will be at the end of the list.
@AntiFurVoreGore@valvesoftware@Steam No, they shouldn't. Multi-buys are exactly why the launch failed. It’s not "fair" to grab two while others get zero. Real fairness means everyone gets the same shot at one unit.
@L1ghtYearsAhead@gabefollower This has nothing to do with EU. I'm in the EU - it's not blocked and some friends were even able to order it. And by the way - since when is Norway part of the EU?
@krowan_47@gabefollower The Steam level isn't really relevant; what matters more is how active an account is. I have friends who've been using Steam for 10+ years, and they're nowhere near level 30.
@valvesoftware@Steam While you can pre-order only one controller (that's a good thing), people were able to purchase up to 3 when it was released. It's a positive step that Steam has learned from the mistake, though it's a bit late. They should have implemented a pre-order system from the beginning.
@MostBoringJeni@Violet_Umbra@strong7166@gabefollower So if you don’t seem to understand the point of the question, then I can see why you might find it hard to understand why a limit of one controller per customer might be necessary at launch for a product with very limited stock and extremely high demand.
@MostBoringJeni@Violet_Umbra@strong7166@gabefollower Now you’re trying to insult - that's cute. A strict limit means one per buyer, and you still haven’t answered the question. Let me do that for you – yes, there are loads of controllers that work perfectly fine with Steam –
@MostBoringJeni@Violet_Umbra@strong7166@gabefollower I could say the same thing and point out that there’s definitely something wrong with this world if people don’t understand that, when a highly anticipated device is released, strict limitations per buyer are necessary. Still, you seem to be dodging the question – well done.
@bobzeeebuilder3@skyomsi@gabefollower No idea works 100% of the time. Even you should realise that, but certain conditions need to be in place, as is the case with the Steam Deck, for example.
