@CameronCal14316 @Browningtons_ Speaking on that, did you know that the original Resident Evil English dub had Shinji Mikami(series creator & director of RE1) be its voice director? This explains why Resident Evil’s original dub sounded so “bad”. Mikami,at the time,had NO IDEA what natural English sounded like

@acenter102 I think the positive perception of Joe comes from the fact that the story is very much a product of its time. It was written during Japan’s transition between rampant poverty & its Bubble Economy. Joe was very much seen as an Icon who struggled against the chains of the system.
