Is drinking a glass of red wine a day healthy?
For most commercially available wine, the answer is no.
Surprisingly, the reason has nothing to do with unhealthy additives.
It's about what gets taken out.
The health case for red wine is built entirely on polyphenols.
Polyphenols are antioxidants that reduce chronic inflammation and feed the gut bacteria tied to immune function.
Red wine has significantly more polyphenols than white because they concentrate in grape skins and seeds, which stay in contact with the juice throughout red wine fermentation.
Their volume is high in all red wine, but their bioavailability is a different story.
Polyphenols need the proteins, peptides, and colloids that naturally occur in wine to slow gut transit long enough for your microbiome to convert them into something absorbable.
In nearly all commercial wine, those proteins, peptides, and colloids that your body needs to process polyphenols have been filtered out.
The polyphenols are still in the wine. Your body just doesn't absorb them anymore.
If the wine doesn't explicitly say unfiltered, it has been filtered.
@PeonyLaneWine is unfiltered.
Absolutely incredible! Just because a lot of plasma phenomena are extremely quick and we don't observe them regularly doesn't mean they don't happen, and frequently! Our planet is much more electrically alive than most people realize
Memorial Day isn’t about barbecues or beach days—it’s about those American heroes who gave everything for our freedom.
THIS 70-SECOND VIDEO CAPTURES WHAT THE DAY IS TRULY ABOUT. 🇺🇸
We're going around the Moon. Come watch with us. Artemis II's four-astronaut crew is lifting off from @NASAKennedy on an approximately 10-day mission that will bring us closer to living on the Moon and Mars. The launch window opens at 6:24pm ET (2224 UTC). https://t.co/X27QJejNDt
Every civilization collapses only after strong men convince themselves that restraint is virtue and silence is wisdom.
The moment capable men tolerate being ruled by weaker, morally corrupt or predatory figures, the end is near.
Many believe Power flows to the most deserving, best and brightest. It does not. It flows to those willing to exploit hesitation, comfort and moral fatigue of good men. Predators do not gain authority because they are competent or strong. They gain it because the strong refuse to confront them, outsource accountability to institutions and tell themselves someone else will handle it instead of stepping up and demanding accountability.
When men stop defending children, women, truth, and standards.the worst humans alive learn very quickly that the door is open.
That is what we are dealing with.
The worst humans alive.
Literal evil.
History is brutally consistent about what happens next. Once morally inferior men capture culture, institutions, laws and enforcement mechanisms, their priority is not leadership but protection of their own corruption by any means required. They smear what they cannot defeat. They criminalize what they cannot control. They redefine strength as dangerous and moral clarity as extremism. Predators always hide behind language, technicality, process and authority because they cannot survive direct scrutiny. By the time force is used to remove any and all threats, the population has already been conditioned to see the removal of strong, independent men as necessary for safety and progress.
This is how civilizations actually die. Not through invasion or sudden catastrophe, but through a long series of cowardly allowances that empower predators and vilify protectors and moral standards.
History does not record intentions, private disgust or whispered objections.
It records outcomes.
When strong men refuse to confront evil, predators consolidate power and eliminate every threat to their control.
The final judgment of any era is not who ruled, but what the capable men allowed the outcome to be.
Look around and think about what history will say about us.
IMPORTANT TO READ:
A little food for thought on "FREE SPEECH"...
Anyone trying to control language at any time for any reason is the enemy of freedom.
No matter how offensive.
When anyone attempts to control language they are not doing so for your benefit.
They will justify it by telling you words are harmful.
That speech is violent...
That offending someone causes real damage...
That certain ideas are too dangerous to hear…
This is how they get you to agree to your own censorship.
We used to understand that some people are assholes with poor taste.
They said stupid shit.
People got offended.
Life moved on.
Now "words are violence".
If words are violence then they can justify controlling your "violence" by any means possible.
After all… we all agree that violence is dangerous right?
Control of words leads to control of thoughts which leads to control of life.
If they can rename reality by telling you what you can and can't say or think, they will rewrite what you are allowed to notice, question or resist.
Every authoritarian move in history starts the same way.
First they police speech.
Then they narrow down acceptable ideas.
Then they remove the dissent by any and all means.
Free people argue openly.
Strong ideas survive sunlight.
Weak ideas and corruption need censorship.
The moment someone says "you're not allowed to say that"...
they are no longer on the side of freedom.
No matter how virtuous their reason may sound.
It's in your interest to actively resist all forms of censorship and reward courageous voices regardless if you agree or not…
…and especially if what they say offends you.
True strength isn't about how hard you can fight.
It's about how much you can endure.
Faith is the armour that protects your spirit when the body wants to quit.
You have to make a distinction between the unexamined life and the orchestrated life.
Examining your life is watching trends, tracking changes, seeing what worked and what didn't, running true n=1 experiments to see what's going on. Grass roots. Bottoms up.
Orchestrating your life is assuming managerial control over every aspect of existence. Sounds good, doesn't work. Too big a job for one man.
The proper amount of orchestration will emerge from honest examination. Don't force it.
Masculinity is medicine for a woman’s nervous system. The more masculine a man is, the more we can relax and stop living in survival mode. His presence makes us feel safe enough to live fully in our feminine energy, bringing out all our beautiful playfulness and innocence
Did you know C.S. Lewis predicted the modern obsession with “being nice” would destroy the soul?
In The Abolition of Man, Lewis argues that when a society stops believing in objective virtue, it doesn’t become tolerant… it becomes manipulable.
He calls the result “men without chests.”
People with appetites and intellects, but no courage, no honor, no trained moral instincts. They can calculate everything and defend nothing.
Lewis saw that once we reject inherited moral law, we don’t become free. We become raw material… easily shaped by propaganda, pleasure, and fear.
Modern man prides himself on compassion while quietly surrendering every standard that once gave compassion meaning.
Lewis’s insight is brutal: a civilization that educates clever cowards will eventually be ruled by tyrants or technicians.
Because when nothing is worth dying for, everything becomes negotiable… including human dignity.
