@strandedinNI@StephenNolan@BBCNolan I worked with plenty of civil servants in Belfast who drove from Enniskillen to Belfast five times a week and didn't see a penny for it.
I got paid the same whether I lived in Newry, Larne or Dunmurry.
@strandedinNI@StephenNolan@BBCNolan I just think they're taking the piss with free car charging, travel allowances and driving their wives cars up for charging as well. Completely out of touch.
@strandedinNI@StephenNolan@BBCNolan elsewhere. When I was a comms officer I had a base I didn't get an allowance for commuting but if I was out and about I did.
They get ludicrous salaries, they get subsidised meals and now they're getting free car charging and mileage.
@squinteratn@chrisadonnelly@BBCTalkback He sounded like he could do with a good sleep. I made the mistake of listening to him on TalkBack while driving and nearly dozed off myself
First day of our Sodexo strike was a strong success, with picket line support from PCS members, Irish Congress, Unison, UCU, Unite, NIPSA and Belfast and District Trades Council.
Gerry Murphy, assistant general secretary of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, said “Irish Congress fully supports PCS members in Sodexo on strike to defend against redundancies. Disputes like these highlight the urgent need for the Good Jobs Bill to progress to debate in the NI assembly.”
Unison's Irish regional Secretary Patricia McKeown talked about the campaign to oppose privatisation and profiteering by multinational companies across the public sector.
Maria Morgan, NIPSA deputy general secretary said "NIPSA stands with PCS members in Sodexo, on strike to fight redundancies. Stay strong, comrades. We support you".
Picket at Erskine House @HMRCgovuk for striking @SodexoUK_IRE workers is solid. We are grateful for the support of @nipsa Deputy General Secretary Maria Morgan
As @PCS_union calls for the insourcing of Civil Service pensions provision, @CivilCspa's Tony McMullan writes that "a working model for an in-house Civil Service Pension Administration is not too far away; it already exists in Northern Ireland."

@KevinMa31904816 Because at that stage there was loads of time left and I've only ever once seen a referee change their mind and it was the Monaghan v Derry game.
The umpire was looking at the ground.
