I have said no to all media over our verdict win.

Why?

I don’t trust most journalists.

The BBC’s hit-jobs on Michaela prove them to be activists with an agenda, not journalists.

But even some serious journalists have not understood my Unherd interview (from several weeks ago) with @freddiesayers

Some make ludicrous statements about our school that are blatantly false, like ‘Michaela only cares about results.’

Just reading my tweets over the years would have schooled you in why that’s an embarrassing lie.

Don’t be ignorant.

If you have an opinion on our prayer rituals ban, then be sure to know why.

If you think all schools should have a prayer room, whatever the consequences on the school’s ethos, then be sure to also take a stand on Macbeth being one of our GCSE set texts.

Avoiding magic (witches in Macbeth) is as important to Jehovah Witnesses as prayer rituals are to Muslims. When you dismiss this, you are saying smaller minorities don’t matter.

It would be far easier for us to abandon Macbeth. It would not threaten the unity of the school and it would not force us to divide children according to race and religion. It would just give us a lot of work.

‘Pro prayer room’ means ‘anti Macbeth’.

That’s IF you don’t want to be a hypocrite.

Either way, don’t say ‘it is only 5 mins’. That just reveals your ignorance about our restrictive building and our school ethos which allows multiculturalism to thrive.
