I did a podcast with ETAS, an automotive software company, in November. We discussed the Jaguar Land Rover hack, autonomous vehicles, ICS and supply chain vulnerabilities in auto manufacturing, cybersecurity for space systems, and the Cyber Auto Challenge.

I attended "Space Day" & celebrated the 56th anniversary of Apollo 11 at Space 220 restaurant at @WaltDisneyWorld's Epcot. Two Blue Origin commercial astronauts, Marc and Sharon Hagel, attended with others & @NSS, @JaneGoodallInst, @NewdayInvesting, and Blue Community Consortium.
The 2025 CyberAuto Challenge is complete. It was a week of 13 hour days & 1 all-nighter! My grad students from @BerkeleyISchool and undergrads from @USouthernMaine completed cybersecurity training using new electric and combustion engine vehicles as their learning platforms.
I'll kick off ESCAR USA on May 21! I'll discuss how I started in vehicle cybersecurity, my strategy for finding vulns/exploits, standards projects I'm working on, Cyber Auto Challenge, and how car embedded systems/comms relate to space vehicles. #ESCARUSA https://t.co/q0ofdchE8O
I had a good time at Hack Space Con in Cape Canaveral, Florida. In addition to meeting new people from Florida, I saw many friends from the DC area and was excited to do my first space cyber security presentation. @HackSpaceCon#Space#SpaceCyberSecurity#SpaceLaw
Excited to present โOff-World Hacking: Cybersecurity & Law for Space Systems & Vehiclesโ @HackSpaceCon May 15. After 23 yrs in automotive cybersecurity, Iโm working on different vehicles to secure the next frontier: space systems - the future of transportation to the Moon & Mars
I'll be speaking at #ESCARUSA, May 21, discussing my 23 years in automotive cyber security research,
and creation of policy/legislation to secure cars and the transportation sector. Also, the future of transportation -- space systems & vehicles. https://t.co/MpclRbqTEf
My Citizen Clinic class at UC Berkeley does cybersecurity consulting for high-risk/highly-targeted nonprofits that do humanitarian work. Our recent client @ProjectTraverse is featured. Know any orgs that need pro bono help with cybersecurity? Message me. https://t.co/qEA6PpiLfD
This is my cybersecurity for civil society class, Citizen Clinic, at UC Berkeley. We worked for a nonprofit that collects digital evidence of war crimes for prosecution. We secured evidence from the war in Ukraine and war crimes in Syria. #BerkeleyISchool https://t.co/QfqmhuPrJF
Great news! ๐ For the 2nd year @craignewmark Philanthropies has funded #CitizenClinic, a groundbreaking program @CLTCBerkeley that trains @UCBerkeley students to offer digital security assistance to activists, journalists, & advocacy orgs. #PITatUCB โ๏ธ https://t.co/jM3af8qnMd
This is the same "Right to Repair" discussion we had in 2012, and even at the first car hacking presentation at Defcon 14 in 2006. Since then, we've learned that hiding how things work doesn't improve vehicle safety. https://t.co/BDU7eygjlX
I had a great time at @shmoocon today. It was great seeing friends and colleagues, some of whom I haven't seen in almost a decade. I also bought these awesome patches from @EFF.
We're thrilled to see so many friends of CLTC โ including @craignewmark, @TiffanyRad, @mruiz12, โ nominated for the CyberScoop 50 Awards recognizing leaders in #cybersecurity. Have you voted? https://t.co/UX8Ha3LSH1
