True story! I was appraised one time and I got very low marks for rapport with principal and staff. I know it was time for me to be transferred to somewhere new.
Teaxher appraisal should be done on a steady basis if the results/findings are to be truly effective. By doing this often teachers will not see it as a death sentence but however will see it as something meaningful which allows them to see what areas they need to improve.
@AndreaVeira5 UWIFIC 60 credit B-Ed one of the requirements was a n associates degree in teacher education. Do you think persons with other degrees who are not teachers should be allowed? @javere_steele@jahtesha1@Sashaotto5
@AndreaVeira5 I would do over a teaching practicum in a heartbeat but I know with the workload of this degree programme it would be near impossible to do so for 3 months. How do y’all feel about this
@AndreaVeira5 What I can say however, for someone who is enrolled to do full time who may have never been exposed to teaching, they should be giving that opportunity.
@AndreaVeira5 I disagree that there should be a practical component to the completion of the UWI 60 credit degree in Education. The prerequisites acquired from previous education fields are enough along with the day to day teaching experiences.
Often time professional development hosted by our leaders is deemed as boring, repetitive and of no substance. However when clinical supervision is done right with the correct steps, the outcome is often well merited! The focus should be development of school, staff and self.
One thing about my principal, she is gonna know what’s happening in your classroom… she is well aware!! Always about the compound! She supervises!! #ilovehateit#buthey
