Assistant Professor interested in nutrient transport and metabolism at @SinaiHeartBlood @IcahnMountSinai by way of @RockefellerUniv @GradSchoolSinai @BucknellU
I'm excited to announce I'll be starting the Kaji lab at @MountSinaiPsych in July. The lab will employ multiomic (snRNAseq, snATACseq, and spatial transcriptomics) and electrophysiology study brain development and disease. Grateful for all the help along the way!
Our new work by @shanshanliu1218 and @gadmark addresses a fundamental question: how does ER maintain its unique oxidizing environment, while rest of the cell is reducing? Here, we identify SLC33A1 as the major ER GSSG exporter in mammalian cells. https://t.co/cmbOm2u3t7
Thrilled to share our new paper: SLC33A1 is the long-sought ER GSSG exporter, maintaining redox homeostasis in the ER. Huge congratulations to my co-first author @shanshanliu1218 and my PIs @KivancBirsoy and @HiteLabMSKCC for leading this work. https://t.co/hhsiYw1jXB 🧵 1/9
Excited to share that my PhD work on ER mito contact sites is finally out at @MolecularCell! Big shout out to @stark2_d to take this across the finish line, and @YatrikShahLab and @LyssiotisLab for their guidance as always!
Excited to share our work on discovery of SLC25A45 as a mediator of mitochondrial methylated amino acid import and carnitine biosynthesis. @Cell_Metabolism@RockefellerUniv https://t.co/O2y3Wypr8M
New work from our lab describing a role for mitochondrial glutathione in breast cancer metastasis @nicoledelgaudio @RockefellerUniv https://t.co/4KF3xqZSFC
Honored to be named a 2025 Pew-Stewart Scholar for Cancer Research. Grateful for the support and excited for the science ahead!
