@AccidentalCISO You...want any help? I have run a couple of one person shops, and am running one now, and can confirm there's some demand. Tools with sales/pricing model like @reporturi are key, and if you've figured out how to right-size some program development, that would be <chef's kiss>.
@kyleshevlin No, but now that I think about it, that (searching for new opportunities on someone else's behalf) actually sounds kind of fun to me -- so I'd bet it's a thing.
@AccidentalCISO@KeithMoum If you really did mean "Urgent Care", and not the ER / hospital ED, I am betting with @KeithMoum. On the other hand, if you went to an actual ER, I'd probably add a zero onto the end of that.
I apparently rolled a natural 20 on that wisdom check last night, and this is what the code looks like ~30 seconds after imbibing Coffee of Clarity + 1.
How do I know it's time to actually leave at 5pm today?
I just wrote this code, which probably works -- but if I check it in, whoever has to maintain it will hate me.
...and that's quite probably me. So I will refactor this and check it in. TOMORROW.
@calbucci I just ran across this display in Safeway and had to come back her to post it. That this exists at all is crazy enough...but it's also almost completely sold out...
@calbucci I mean, this tool you proposed might not change the world - but it's also useful, and tremendously easier to build, market, sell and maintain than yet another special-purpose LLM. But guess which one everyone wants to talk about at parties... https://t.co/XCc3wTaOIJ
@calbucci There's value to be created, IMHO, but I agree - there is certainly a lot (I mean a LLLLLOTTTT) of really exhausting and distracting fad to wade through on the way.
@m3ch3l3@RayRedacted@InfoSecSherpa I am grateful to hear this. I wrote a dialer for the TRS-80 Coco, and uploaded it to GEnie (therefore after Wargames), and I could swear I didn't hear the term wardialing until well after that. Was starting to wonder if it was my memory, naivity of youth, or the Mandela Effect.
