@darth_na Makes absolute sense and I have some clear examples of high competition high volume keywords where a brand has actually more volume on "keyword + brand" than the generic keyword and it still fails to rank on the first page for that keyword.
@trezevoir @Netanel Not documented anywhere as far as my knowledge goes but it's safe to assume Google can pace the crawl speed based on heuristic signals, in this context your silo structure could play a role.
We managed to significantly drop the bounce and exit rate (by circa 1/4) on a page competing for a high volume high competition keyword on a very legitimate website stuck in page 2.
One month later, how did Google react ? It did not.
@sbillard Tu as ping quelqu'un de chez Google ? Si tu mets en avant la taille du site, l'importance de la marque et que montres la différence flagrante entre les anciennes SERPs 100% Auchan VS les SERPs actuelles desquelles Auchan a été complètement rayé, ça devrait alerter.

I could hardly recommend it, even though it did manage to pull twice the revenue that AdSense did, but with 4 times the pain at least. Tested > 1 year on a ~150k traffic automotive news website, EPMW was $3,70 (per thousand visit)
