Netflix has added ~$12.8 billion in incremental run rate revenues over the past 24 months. That incremental revenue growth exceeds the current global DTC revenues for Peacock, HBO Max, and Paramount+ (individually).
@FB_FilmAnalysis He doesn't look healthy. I agree with you but that isn't the same guy as in game 1. Totally understandable with the ankle and the terrible run blocking.
During the pandemic, Peloton could not keep up with demand for its bikes. At one point it was spending $100 million just on air freight to get bikes to customers faster, and it committed $400 million to build its own factory.
At the height of demand, management was forced to make many suboptimal decisions to satisfy customers. Today the customers are gone, but the suboptimal decisions (including the debt) remain.
The same will happen in the AI space. Today you have insatiable demand. Nobody knows how long it will last.
From 1994 to 2000 the S&P 500 gained 49% against the equal-weight version.
From 2015 to 2026 the S&P 500 gained 44% against the equal-weight version.
You’re not gonna believe this.
5,000 stocks are down 20%+ from their 52-week highs.
And it gets crazier…
Nearly 4,000 are down 40%+.
Think about what that actually means.
While the major indices have held together, underneath the surface thousands of stocks have already been living through their own bear markets.
The index looking fine while individual stocks are getting absolutely destroyed underneath it.
Some seriously messed up shit when you actually look under the hood.
The initial response to this article has been incredible.
The S&P 500 is now <1% away from a record high but 206 of its components are down over -30%.
Never in history has this happened before.
It's the "Bear-Bull Market Paradox." Bookmark this.
Realty Income now yields over 6%. This is an A-rated REIT with a 70% payout ratio and 31+ years of annual dividend growth. Not even the dot-com crash, GFC, pandemic, or rate surge broke its dividend growth track record. $O
Why is the overall market so fixated on $CRWV's imminent demise?
At the peak of the Dot Com bubble, $CSCO - the largest company in the world, and the $NVDA equivalent of the era - generated about 10% of its revenue from circular deals through vendor-financed startups.
When those startups lost access to capital, $CSCO's revenue growth went from +66% to -30% within a few quarters, and the stock lost 80% of its value. The same story played out across the dot com supply chain, sending the Nasdaq down 80%.
Today, $CRWV alone makes up roughly 8% of
$NVDA GPU sales. Losing that demand is enough to nuke $NVDA's growth story all by itself.
Oh, and $CRWV isn't an isolated example - every major neocloud is hemmoraghing cash and borrowing costs are going UP across the board.
If you lose the neoclouds, you lose the incremental growth driver for marginal data center capacity, and the AI capex trade goes up in smoke.
That's why we're seeing carnage across the entire AI supply chain, from $CAT and $GEV to $MU, $AVGO and more recently $NVDA.
This is what the beginning of the end of a debt-fueled, circular-financed capex bubble looks like.
On one side, you have a lot of market capitalization that is likely not supported by future cash flows.
On the other side, there are a lot of cash flowing companies trading at valuations last seen in the Obama years.
Days like today seem like a step toward resolving this.
This quote from the head of excavations at Gobekli Tepe is CRAZY work 🤯
QUOTE: “Why would I be so selfish as to dig the entire site just to say, I've dug it and look what I found, and take away these possibilities from future generations of archaeologists?”
Excuse us, what?? The whole world is waiting for you to hurry up and excavate the site so we can learn what the hell it is… BUT, Dr. Lee Clare wants to save it for archaeologists in the future???
In what world do we *not* excavate a mysterious prehistoric site to learn from it? Since when do we kick knowledge of our lost ancient origins down the road?? This madness has to stop.
