@JonKarcich@nextlevelbb Roch patiently signed a ton of autographs and took pictures w/ kids after a comeback win in East Lansing in early May. His mom was there and I told her how cool it was that he did that. Her reply, “he loves it as much as they do. He did the same thing at their age.” I’m a fan.
We have traded fundamentals for measurables.
And it shows up in today's version of the game.
Too many players are lacking:
⚾️ Baseball IQ
⚾️ Awareness
⚾️ Ability to play catch
⚾️ Baserunning
⚾️ Ability to throw strikes
⚾️ Bat-to-ball skills
⚾️ Feel
⚾️ Adjustability
⚾️ Perseverance
⚾️ Grit
Just to name a few...
Players today spend more time in cages looking at screens and less time in the sandlot competing, having to learn how to play the game without coaches.
The players, coaches and organizations who still value fundamentals, stick out more today than ever before!
There are a ton of reasons the Tigers will lose this game and generally why this team sucks.
But it begins off the field and with the decision makers.
There’s zero accountability, which means there’s zero leadership.
It’s the only reason such bad things happen consistently.
Bad baseball teams do bad baseball things. This is partly on Hinch, partly on Vierling. Hinch thinks whatever he touches turns to gold. Vierling, despite not being a CF by trade, should know you can’t make an idgaf throw back into the infield. Failures all around.
TRAVEL BALL CHAOS: A Nebraska 11U coach claims an Oklahoma coach ordered his pitcher to throw at the opposing team's dugout.
Of all the disturbing videos out of travel ball this year, this might be the worst yet.

6-6 SG Gehrig Normand @GehrigNormand20 is off the board with a verbal commitment to HC Andy Enfield @Coach_Enfield and @SMUBasketball this morning.
The Texas native is a former Top 100 prospect nationally with 2-3 years of eligibility remaining.
Matt Chapman since he told Casey Schmitt to catch the fkn ball:
0-HR/.608-OPS
Casey Schmitt since he was told to catch the fkn ball:
6-HR/.941-OPS
Maybe Casey should tell Matt to hit the fkn ball, am I right?
