My favourite personal mondegreen: for years I though Zapp's funk hit "More Bounce to the Ounce" was saying "Boardwalk through the Alps". That's probably a comment on how naturally unfunky I am.
Did you hear the news? @frommars1953 is celebrating 40 years of Stuart Gordon’s RE-ANIMATOR with a stunning new 4K restoration!! Pre-order before it sells out! 💚 and make sure to watch until the end of this video for some more fun news…

There’s a movie about me opening soon called A Complete Unknown (what a title!). Timothee Chalamet is starring in the lead role. Timmy’s a brilliant actor so I’m sure he’s going to be completely believable as me. Or a younger me. Or some other me. The film’s taken from Elijah Wald’s Dylan Goes Electric – a book that came out in 2015. It’s a fantastic retelling of events from the early ‘60s that led up to the fiasco at Newport. After you’ve seen the movie read the book.
It looks like there is some good news with Voyager 1 – communications have been restored, allowing the spacecraft to keep sending data back. The fact that Voyager 1 is 47 years old and still functioning and providing information to us is a testament to the quality of the research and engineering that went into its development by @NASA a half-Century ago. Voyager 1 is 15.4 billion miles from Earth – still venturing into deep space, on its own, carrying out its mission. An astounding accomplishment!

That should be the last time I rake leaves this year. Got 'em in just before the rain arrived.
My dad, who's a farmer, confirmed that there was a lot of foliage this year. We usually get a spring windstorm that drops the first batch of leaves but that didn't happen in 2024 here.
I had the Big Hungry at Mic Mac Grill today: this was a mistake. Bacon-wrapped steak, 2 eggs, roast potatoes, buttery toast; but also 5 sausages, 5 more strips of bacon, and a 3/4" slab of ham? Ludicrous. Most of it came home in a box. $31 and I'll get 3 meals out of this.
Saw Nick Cave in Paris recently at the Accor Arena and I was really struck by that song Joy where he sings “We’ve all had too much sorrow, now it the time for joy.” I was thinking to myself, yeah that’s about right.
