ApeChain is not affected by the Kelp DAO situation.
Out of an abundance of caution, we've decided to pause any bridges that rely on Layer0 until we have a full understanding of the situation.
There's no need to move things around.
There are plenty of bridges if you want to bridge for any reason.
Circle became a billion dollar company because of Coinbase & a Western-focused narrative that USDT was unsafe
The company is staffed with Wall Street bots who couldn’t care less about DeFi.
I’m willing to bet less than 5 people in their entire org even use DeFi.
Their entire playbook rn is reg capture — taking that same narrative and trying to convince international lawmakers to believe the same BS
They don’t react to events like the Drift hack because they want to bake in a regulatory, bureaucratic process that makes lawmakers rely on them as a chokepoint
Circle will now lose DeFi to USDT on all chains, not just Ethereum. They will lose this off-chain stablecoin Hail Mary to Stripe, a company run by competent people.
Gg. Have fun with Arc

If you are in the United States, you've probably noticed this new payment system Zelle has taken the world of normies by storm. And by normies I don't mean 22-year-olds in New York or San Francisco but your plumber or your housekeeper or the guy that plows your driveway.
The crazy thing about Zelle is it's actually a really bad technical product. It's basically a pre-confirmation for ACH and it allows a user to use an email address or phone number as a proxy for a good old-fashioned ACH account number and routing number to their bank.
But is succeeding in ways Venmo and PayPal and Cash App and all these other fast payment systems never could because it's linked in to the boring, dumb stuff that regular, normal people use.
As much as we reinvent the wheel in crypto, distribution remains king. Getting into existing distribution channels where people already operate is a far past their method of adoption and trying to get them to move their entire workflow over.
This is why this news is interesting. It's not because the technology is innovative or the user experience is so great. In fact it will almost certainly be worse than just sending USDC through a normal wallet, but the distribution here is basically unmatched.
I can't stop thinking about 1 sentence in today's UN report regarding Israel's genocide in Gaza.
"Israeli security forces shot at & killed civilians, including children who were holding makeshift white flags. Some children, including toddlers, were shot in the head by snipers.”
If you are wondering why some of the dead children in Gaza have no visible injuries or covered in blood. Who look like they're sleeping.
It is because Israel killed them with Thermobaric bombs. These bombs suck oxygen from the air to trigger high temperature explosions. The explosive pressure is so strong that it quite literally sucks the air out of the children's lungs and causes them to internally explode.
Genocide is defined not just by numbers but by intent. Israel has declared its aim to erase Palestinian life in Gaza. The scale is clear: 680,000 killed, 380,000 infants. A genocide overwhelmingly against children, erasing Palestinian life at its root.
