@kentuckyburgerr He was honest when the game launched aside from his -12 heatsmash. But him and Asuka have gotten the most amount of buffs over the course the games lifespan to where his identity is gone. He was at the perfect power level when the game first came out.
@NicolasGallag10@shabbyshanghai@AkirasParadox Yeah sh2 is great but it feels like walking through a museum with how passive/non threatening everything is compared to 1,3,4 or the classic RE games.
@Saiche13@MEKNI_TEKKEN Early Drag, Yoshi, and Jin were more toxic than the current s2 meta picks imo. Especially when paired with the horrible universal mechanics of s1.
@SmileB4Death524@hyxkkimxru You were already a god in the original by just sprinting past them, the monsters had slower speed, poorer tracking and were easy to stunlock. In hard mode faceplanting into walls was a bigger issue than the monsters.
@cenko1717@EyedJeff@momiji_doa Exactly, if doa6 was actually a good followup it would have survived the slander from the puritan fgc anyways.
But it wasnt.
Wizard was doing that since DOA4. I've been playing DOA since the first game in arcade. DOA6 had a terrible PR campaign with conflicting messaging rather than the game just speaking for itself. But the real killer for that game was it's not fun and they rolled back so many different things to make it less appealing to casual players.
Also it not launching with lobbies was terrible for community building. Then when nobody bought it, it went free to play and STILL no one came to play the game, it was truly over. People went back to DOA5 because it was complete. It was the perfect shit storm for Dead or Alive.
What people acting and portraying this narrative like nobody liked dead or alive is completely false. People loved doa 1 2 3 4 and 5. 6 was completely misguided from the start.
@Scraxivele7 @kitsuneredP3 Why is there such a big gap between Remake and Rebirth? I dont plan on playing it but it seemed like more of the same from Remake.
@LocalBtnMasher Pretty much how I feel about it, and none of its superficial qualities even make up for the gameplay. I regret dropping a hundred bones for this game
@MugenLord This series was so ahead of its time in visuals and stage creativity. Its a shame it had to go out with DOA6, one of the laziest/worst followups to a fighting game ever made.
