Dearest #RubyBridges: Thank you. >>> 65 years ago today, 4 federal marshals escorted 6-year-old Ruby Bridges to her 1st day of school (1st grade), as the 1st Black student to attend previously all-white William Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans, Louisiana. And today, there are legislators and school districts seeking to ban teaching on Ruby Bridges under the guise of banning “wokeness.” We have to stand so that they don’t whitewash U.S. and world history.
This is journalist Karen Attiah, the only Black opinion columnist at the Washington Post. She was just fired for sharing a statement made by Charlie Kirk insulting Black women.

ADULTS: We are responsible for this nonsense happening.
Stop letting the 7 on 7, Instagram culture invade high school football. That's what some of you are doing. It's ridiculous. AND, it ALL starts with admin. Stop letting the hanger on club coaches who have ZERO to do with education-based athletics invade your programs. Stand up. Do the right thing. Say no. This kind of crap doesn't happen with administration who doesn't let it happen. Principals and ADs who bow down to their coaching staff for a few wins or a successful season instead of a successful program are just as guilty as the street agent perpetuating this type of nonsense.
Full stop.
Tomorrow is National Barack Obama Appreciation Day. Trump hates no one more than President Obama, so let's fill social media with our love for him!
