This day, A month ago. The sky is just the beginning..

[Titanium @AyoAkinmeji]

Throwback to this day last week when I had my longest dream fulfilled as I got inducted as a medical doctor from the prestigious Olabisi Onabanjo University with laurels.

🥂Best Graduating medical student, Obafemi Awolowo College of health Sciences, OACHS, OOU (Class of 2022).

@MyJSCAI Excited to share our study that was recently published in JSCAI, special thanks to @EmiBobManuel2 for the mentorship and special thanks to my awesome co-authors @maxflare @CChinnatambi @wazza_233 @TitaniumMD #cardiology

[MyJSCAI @MyJSCAI]

📖Among patients with #afib & #chronickidneydisease, this real-world analysis showed #LAAO was associated with decreased all-cause mortality compared to direct oral #anticoagulants, however there was no improvement in intermediate outcomes. These findings are hypothesis generating. Read more:

@AYOKUNLE_MD Years from now, even the American College of Cardiology and the World Heart Federation may pause and ask what luck made this possible. 😁😁😁

[A.A.A. @TitaniumMD]

@AYOKUNLE_MD @Oloruntoba_Ettu A whole first head boy of TASUESS.
You're way ahead of us and we love your lead 😊

@OgbeniChromo @NASA @AYOKUNLE_MD Th heart is the first organ to develop in-utero. Let's have him come to us 😁😁

[A.A.A. @TitaniumMD]

Toba is a very great guy.

He’s so knowledgeable that I’ve always felt he was meant to be at @NASA or working on spaceship missions. Not only did we finish from the same secondary school, TASUESS in Ijebu-Ode (same school as @AYOKUNLE_MD), but we also represented the best state medical school at different levels, while I was in my finals. We emerged as the second-best medical school in Africa out of 37 medical universities in 2022 (even @the_beardedsina thinks we were the best in the tournament).

Toba’s answers were things I had never heard of before. Some of his remarkable responses in quiz competitions included Time Magazine’s Person of the 20th Century (Albert Einstein) and the full name of Isaac Newton’s Principia (Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica).

It didn’t stop at basic science but extended to complex medical knowledge. His understanding of concepts is unrivalled. At times, it honestly feels like he belongs in the league of minds like Einstein or Hippocrates, rare thinkers of another era.

For context, I finished in 2022 with six distinctions, which was a record for my school, following Chromo (Dr. Alabi Olugbenga)'s footsteps, so I understand what excellence looks like. Every record is meant to be broken, and I’m so pleased you surpassed this milestone. Toba has my highest recommendation, and I believe this should go beyond the College of Health Sciences and should be the best result in @oou_agoiwoye.

I’m calling on the state governor @DapoAbiodunCON to please recognize and celebrate this outstanding achievement and give it the attention it truly deserves, and on the president @officialABAT to also acknowledge and honor this level of excellence.

I can’t argue with consistency (Secondary school grades, WASSCE, JAMB, and now Medical School). When someone shows up, delivers, and keeps raising the bar over and over again, you just have to respect it. It speaks for itself. His efforts should not go unnoticed.

Greater height, brother, this is the least you'll ever be.

[Oloruntoba ✨ @Oloruntoba_Ettu]

8 years ago, I began this journey to become a doctor, after 8As and 1B in my WASSCE and a score of 347 in my UTME.

The journey is finally over, with distinctions in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Internal Medicine.

[A.A.A. @TitaniumMD]

I love this. I won’t stop sharing until excellence gets the grand entrance it deserves.

Congratulations, Toba!

@Letter_to_Jack I believe the Ogun State govt should be rewarding this kind of rare feat.

Exceptional academic excellence in perhaps the most difficult course to study.

The best in the history of OOU

Me, trying to figure out how to survive the rest of June and July after handing all my money to Uber like a loyal disciple.

Was just heading out to grab beans and bread when I bumped into @victorosimhen9 . I said, '' Hi, I’m Dr. Ayodeji, I live a few houses down,'' and asked for a quick photo, he accepted. One of those random, unforgettable moments. Two Africans, different fields, similar hustle.
