Now that the cat is out of the bag, I'm happy to say that today I started as the new project manager for @jnovelclub! I'm equal parts nervous and excited, but everyone in the staff is warm and welcoming, and I can't wait to start working in earnest.
@Daiz42 But not necessarily better. Now, before the twitter mob comes for my head yes you do need to be really good at the source language and no you can not substitute your lack of knowledge with AI, but once you're past a point you're getting hit with diminishing returns.
@Daiz42 It's arguably more important than knowing every piece of obscure grammar or word in Japanese. Once you're past the point where you can do research in Japanese and understand the explanations they give on sites like weblio and yahoo, you're just gonna get faster...
