@SirFlatpipe @DrNeilStone Not the same as your £100 bill suddenly becoming £120 at the till, is it. UK government at least goes to great lengths to obscure the actual amounts paid. VAT hidden, income tax split into tax and NI, PAYE tax codes etc. UK base rate is actually 32%, not the 20 bandied around.
