@Cheldubiduba @greenerycode Possibly. I dunno, if you read some of Costello's research, the constellation of issues the typical incel is having is probably very hard to overcome by just trying harder. Very high rates of severe depression and suicidality. Gotta try to reduce that somewhat first

@SovereignIM This is easily explained if you understand narcissism though. Narcissistic people have strong intrinsic motivation to be physically attractive and superficially successful. They put a lot of time and effort in to having the superficial traits women find attractive

@tobasiteuberman @falconerd Nah.. been building software professionally for like coming close to 20 years. This stuff matters as the codebase grows, you have multiple maintainers, you gain more users/app usage goes up, you need to ensure uptime 24/7, you have high performance needs, etc

@nimfeo @beyzipsg My own 2 cents as a guy who is more successful careerwise/financially than like 99% of women my age - the problem isn't intelligence or being career driven. It is almost always the narcissistic "boss babe" attitude that turns guys off. Narcissistic women are unattractive

@MT_6226 How often in your experience do patients freak out about probably benign, incidental findings? I have had this happen a few times and I literally haven't worried about any of them because the doctor said it's nothing to worry about
