Reasons Why President's Built

1. Roosevelt wanted control, so he built the west wing. In 1902, he spent $65,000 of the taxpayers' money. That's $2,506,957 today

2. Taft chased eternal fame and built the EEOB in 1909. He probably just needed a bigger bathtub, but he spent $10,038,482.42 of taxpayers' money. That's $357,387,624.23 today

3. FDR did not add the East Wing, that was Truman. FDR's pool, which he did build, was for the medical treatment of his polio. It was paid for with private donations.

4. Truman's interior redesign project lasted from 1948-1952 and cost the American taxpayers $5,400,000. That's $60,800,000.00 today.

5. In 1969, Nixon's bowling alley was ENTIRELY privately funded.

6. Obama never "added" anything. He painted over the lines of the tennis court. [ I roll my eyes in your general direction. ]

7. President Trump, is a world class philanthropic American. Raising the money for and constructing a beautiful ballroom for the White House. Taxpayer cost $0.00. Value to America and her future presidents? Priceless.
