In other words, Clifford and Audrey Jones deserve to be remembered for making Texas Tech into what we love so dearly today. No amount of money should sideline the pioneering history of West Texas.
I would be ok with it ONLY if they kept JONES in the name.

BREAKING: South Carolina bans tattoo studios within 1,000 feet of any church, school, or playground — a rule so broad it wipes out most of the state. And the state criminalized tattooing anyone’s head, face, or neck. We're challenging these on First Amendment grounds.
Remember Greg Abbott’s razor blade buoys? Well with the flooding they broke loose and now are even further down the Rio Grande and who knows where the blades. 🤦🏻♀️

One of those perfect Mike Judge moments in Office Space was depicting office workers trudging through a ditch to go from their workplace to the restaurant next door, because the environment was so hostile to pedestrians and car-oriented.
I used to work in a building that looked exactly like this, and soon learned it was designed with no thought to its surroundings. A cluster of empty buildings surrounded by vast deserts of hot parking lots.
i love how we all hate flock cameras because of the obvious reasons (lack of privacy, being used to stalk, soooo many false accusations and arrests) but also the guardrail guy is showing how they will also just kill you bc of how negligently they are installed.
The thing about these data centers is, they bring no jobs. No tax revenue and are pretty much exclusively using the place’s ground water. The local politicians are literally getting millions in buyouts for sliding these things across the table.
