@ndhawk88@c0mputersputin@DBGyt_ Fair.
I think people (understandably) associate a set motion offense with White, and the more transitional/Read&React with CC.
It's an understandable association, but you're right we don't know how accurate or not that is.
@c0mputersputin@ndhawk88@DBGyt_ If you know ball, you can recognize the difference between "we're running an offense and struggling to get good shots" vs "just come set a screen and we'll Read&React to how the defense tries to rotate and get a good shot out of it."
It's not just makes vs misses.
@ProjectLibertar lol. I think a large part of it is that libertarians reject conformity, even within tribalism.
It's astoundingly difficult to have libertarians present a "united front" even when there is only mild disagreement.
So regardless of strategy, a cohesive opposition has the advantage.
@amazingatheist This is a dumb take.
Either you know what he meant (Nobodies dies for something they know to be a lie) or you are less amazing than advertised.
You can have trade without capitalism.
You can also have agriculture without property rights.
You'll just get a lot less of it.
Trade isn't what makes capitalism unique. Capitalism is what protects your right to own, keep, invest, and exchange what you've produced or traded for.
@Michael2Turner@CrashDavis8 When a player is hot, you let them play. Let them push. Let them shoot. Let them heat check. Especially a younger player.
You don't go "Well, I know she's hit 4 in a row, but it's 3min left in the first and that's when I have slated to change the lineup, so time for her to sit."
@clnuponaisle5@CptAncapistan@MarcoFoster_ "Excessive amounts of even good things can be bad."
"But it's a good thing. Isn't it good to want good things?"
"Sure, but TOO MUCH of even a good thing can be bad and have negative results."
"But it's a good thing. What kind of monster doesn't want good things?!"
"*sigh*"
@LP_CLC Especially when so many Dems just flat reject economics when it contradicts what they want.
"Min wage doesn't raise overall wages, it increases unemployment"
"Nah, we just need to increase min wage anyway so poor people have more money"
"But.. I just said..."
"FIGHT FOR $15!"
@tonyannett Except that never happens.
Just like with everything else, there's infinite demand for govt spending, so even when you significantly increase your supply (revenue) it will be outpaced by further increased demand.
@CrashDavis8 Won't happen.
This is the FO that was so bad they were last in the league for YEARS and got back to back top draft picks.
But then suddenly they're talking about being a transcendent brand like Apple before having had a winning season, let alone a ring (or 3).
Inept arrogance.
@BobsYRuncle199@EndWokeness While most of what I've read about LBJ makes this completely believable, do we have a solid source for this?
I feel like I heard it was 3rd hand "heard someone say they knew someone who said they heard him say it" kind of thing.
@CsTominaga@NSKinsella@mwicDallas So is your justification utilitarian - "IP may not be philosophically justified but it's necessary for economic progress"
Or that "I worked hard and have something of substantial value, therefore I am morally justified to use force to prevent you from using it"?
@lanechanged Most advocates of first US minimum wage laws were looking to protect "white jobs" from blacks and immigrants.
Since minorites were seen as lower skilled, but willing to work for less money, min wage laws were seen to prevent companies from hiring them at such cheap wages.
@iknowWhiteGold SW strikes me as the textbook example of "too smart by half" - where they conceive sophisticated strategies that end up backfiring due to being overly complicated and confusing when a more straightforward approach would likely work much better.
@ZulekBoxing@DBGyt_ The problem is "saved".
"Saved" implies a lousy team and that player turned them around into a top team.
They had a 30-win, second best record in the league last year.
"Saved" is not an accurate description for Angel's contribution to that.
