@R0npz@TheCinesthetic For God’s sake can we admit the premise of Shutter Island is crap. No one, NO ONE, goes to all that trouble for an experiment. It is utterly ridiculous.
@AaronJay954127@ingelramdecoucy@washingtonpost True. I liken your point to straight ticket voting. I don’t do it. Perhaps that makes me a moderate conservative, so be it. But I always fear my doing (what I consider) the right thing, results in a slow erosion and loss over time.
@timmaguire42 Thanks for clarifying (it was right there in front of me!). I personally didn’t interpret that statement as their opinion, but as them conveying the stated goal of the organization. I still feel the same & hope I’m not giving them too much credit in assuming positive intent 🤞
@timmaguire42@ingelramdecoucy@washingtonpost I could not read the article due to the paywall. Did WaPo claim that it is “needed to counter Conserative influence” or was that the organization that they’re reporting about? That is a big distinction.
@ingelramdecoucy@MYPBlue@washingtonpost I certainly agree that Democrat orgs are (unfortunately) dominant on campuses even going back to this old toad’s days (Illinois State ‘88-92).
@MYPBlue@ingelramdecoucy@washingtonpost If a quote is accurate (i.e. not skewed/misrepresented/edited/etc. to show bias), how is that propaganda? Again, that would be reporting in my mind.
@ingelramdecoucy@washingtonpost First time I have disagreed with the Frog. Though I can’t read the article behind the paywall, this just seems like news. In fact, news that I and conservatives should be interested in.
