WOMAN INJURED IN REPORTED SHARK INCIDENT IN WATERSOUND; DOUBLE RED FLAGS NOW FLYING ON WALTON COUNTY BEACHES IN SURROUNDING AREA
Just after 1:15 pm @WCSOFL and @swfdinfo responded to a report of a woman being injured by a shark in the water near Watersound Way and Coopersmith Lane.
One patient has been transported by SWFD.
Double red flags are now flying on the beaches in the surrounding area. The Gulf is now closed to the public in Walton County in the localized area of the incident.
We are encouraging beachgoers to be cognizant that lifeguards and beach deputies may be trying keep people out of the water in the immediate area.
@coryDwake Great post. I’ve had numerous conversations with execs in the HH space and would agree with your points. I sell erp solutions in this market and owners know they need to do something but can’t because a lot of them are just trying to keep the doors open. Staffing turnover brutal
This is a simple equation for the athletic department: Find a way to get some of that money to football players. It's nice that you're building a new lacrosse stadium and all that. What your alumni/donors care about is the football program remaining elite. Period.
Haunting scene knowing what is coming. Water gets “sucked out” before the storm pushes in. Then the water surges back in. 12-16’ storm surge possible in Fort Myers. This is the scene in Tampa Bay. Frightening.
