Hi candidates running for local and European elections. Thank you to those of you who attended our meeting in February. Following on from our discussion, Togher Tidy Towns are requesting that you limit your posters to the following two areas.
1. Chetwynd cemetery to Dunne's on Bandon road.
2. From Eagle Valley to Sarsfield road roundabout.
We would also ask that you limit your posters to two per area. 4 posters in total per candidate.
We would greatly appreciate your support in this matter.
Hi volunteers, we need to really muck in with the judging around the corner, we are meeting Saturday at 11am at the shed at Togher Community Centre to head out clearing out the planters. This will be done by 1pm with everyone’s help, ( bring a friend) 😊 Proud to be from Togher
Huge thanks to Dan Lee from Ballydehob who works for Cahalane Brothers Ltd. who kindly offered his skills in tiling tonight while out for a walk with his sister Nora along the Avenue in Togher. Dan tiled the roof of the Bug hotel which has finished it off so beautifully. 🙌👊
Over the next few weeks, wild flowers seeds will be sown and the flowers will be in full bloom when the Tidy Towns Judges visit in June. The project was funded by Cork City Council Creative Communities Grant.
Thanks to our volunteers who cleared this over the past 12 months
@TogherT have unveiled their new mural which is situated in The Avenue, off the Main Street behind the Centra. Students from Togher Boys National School were invited to submit drawings and the final design of the mural was chosen from those drawings.
The mural was painted by Kevin O’Brien and it brings a new life to the area. On Wednesday, Togher Boys School students planted 7 Holly trees, collected 7kg of litter in the area and kitted out a new bug hotel made by a Tidy Towns Volunteer.
