Jcal says OpenAI and Anthropic's biggest customers are leaving for open source or building their own models
"People are running Kimi on the last generation of hardware, and that's plentiful."
"I'll make this prediction here, that you're gonna see some of the major customers of Anthropic and major customers of OpenAI, I'm talking about the eight and nine figure customers, people spending $50 million, 1$00 million a year, they're leaving."
"They're gonna be leaving, because they don't trust those companies to not steal the application layer and to compete with them. 11 Labs, Figma, Lovable, they're all gonna leave."
"They're all gonna take Kimi. They're gonna fork it or whichever one, DeepSeek. They're all, I know for a fact, they're all working on their own models currently."
"I know from my team, my team has installed Kimi. It is 80, 90% cheaper already."
@paulg@growing_daniel The symptom of overengineering things. It is also fine to buy art because you just... enjoy it? Connect with it in some way... Buying art out of FOMO or as an investment is generally a bad idea.
A new guide is coming... Get ready for a travel from Florence to Venice, unraveling the stories of mercenaries, battles, Dominican orders and artistic innovations... DM me for a free access on the beta.
@TechCrunch And yet you are comparing their products with capitalist entities whose sole purpose is to generate profits. Go check what Apple is taking on IAP.
Buy your vinyls at your local eco friendly record store and let us know how it goes...
@TechCrunch So much BS. To summarize:
1/ You don't like that Spotify recommend you tracks? But isn't it the core of their product? The very thing that you are paying for?
2/ You don't like the cluttered UI? It takes me literally 2 taps to start a track.
3/ They are evil.
Here’s 10 seconds from our new audio guide app 👇— designed to make museum visits feel like a walk with a friend who knows all the stories.
We’re looking for curious minds to test it before release.
Drop me a DM if you’d like early access. 🖼️✨
Important update on Odyssée today. We are rebuilding the way we are modelling our Tours. This will help a lot with performance but also content creation - making it easier to build content as part of a whole. Please update the app to maintain access to the audioguides.
@claudeai Isn't it also applicable to the Claude desktop app? I have been able to work all day long without any limitation. This is much better than, say, 2 weeks ago.
As much as I love complaining, working with Claude has been incredibly smooth these last few days, even for hours at a time. I am not sure if that has to do with the recent time allocation per premium user. In any case, thanks (for now) for the no BS model @AnthropicAI
@buildinpublic My app is finally bug free 🍾 Now that the core experience is healthy (yet dirty), it's time to break things again 😅 to enhance things further.
I'll focus this week on backend services, plenty of room to break things up!
🏗️What I have been working on today:
Finished updating my edge to edge design on the last remaining screen (on which that wasn't case)
⏭️What's next:
- Update my skeleton loader on Tour List
- Fix a flicker effect, showing image by default, before the cover is showing
Just setup @Wise for my mom.
Her french bank, @CreditAgricole charged her nearly 10% for a transfer including currency conversion from EUR to USD.
Wise took me 0.3% in comparison from CNY to USD.
Traditional banks don't stand a chance, for the benefit of humanity.🖕🖕🖕
