Streeting supporter on Starmer’s hint that he’s going to offer Burnham a top job if he wins in Makerfield.
“Andy’s not doing this to boost his cv. He’s already got a pretty good job in Manchester. He’s doing this because the government is failing. A new Housing and Communities Secretary isn’t going to solve that.”

@ReadA89 I don’t disagree. I have a two year-old daughter and the future is terrifying! I do think the balance between parents making a decision and state overreach is complex on this.
Im tech savvy so know how to block social media and other content when the time comes. Not everyone is
Delighted to be appointed Minister of State for Food Security and Rural Affairs. Being asked by the Prime Minister to serve our country in this role is an immense privilege.
Alongside the Environment Secretary and the @DEFRAgovuk team, my focus will be clear: driving a green economy, protecting our natural environment and ensuring our rural and coastal communities truly thrive.
I look forward to working with the sector to help farms become more profitable and sustainable and backing our world-leading food, farming, and fishing industries.
Let’s get to work.
When? We are still waiting for the benefits on @SW_Help. Some buy the PR rubbish you spout but passengers are still waiting for the improvements promised. Perhaps set out your plan to deliver on this. Is there even a plan?? Timelines, goals?
Today we've renationalised the UK's largest train operator.
Passengers will see fewer last-minute cancellations, cleaner toilets and more services to Gatwick Airport.
We are building Great British Railways. 🇬🇧🚆

🚨 The UK Government has just confirmed it will spend £6 BILLION of tax payers money on International Climate Finance over the next 3 years.
Meanwhile … criminal trials are being listed for 2030!!! … Because the government has no money to fund courts to work every day.
Don’t worry. SWR is now nationalised so it will get better. Irrelevant that network rail who manages the signalling has been government run since 2002.
@AngryTedRoach@swtrains_watch@AndyBurnhamGM@Heidi_Labour@LordPeterHendy Nothing will change. Unless the government invests in the railway, it will remain to be awful. Half, if not more than half of railway delays on the SWR network equate to issues to infrastructure. This has been managed by the government since 2002.
The media has influenced this massively. The club deserves some credit, going 21 games unbeaten. That’s not luck. The best thing for the club, us fans is to stick together and go again next season. A mass exit is not good for the club or us fans. #saintsfc
