🍾I am happy and proud to share with you the official publication of our latest results, now available in @BloodPortfolio
🔬Thanks to the application of in vitro and in vivo models, we show that ClpP is a metabolic and immunogenic vulnerability in #mmsm

#Myeloma Paper of the Day: ID2 suppresses multiple myeloma cell proliferation by repressing the activity of the transcription factor TCF3; BM milieu supports this by further decreasing ID2 expression & enhancing TCF3 activity, partly via IL-6: https://t.co/B2b4LGGAEG. #mmsm

💊We establish for the first time the proof of principle that targeting mitochondria can have a twofold effect in myeloma, both limiting cell growth and boosting anticancer immunity and the efficacy of novel immunotherpautics.
#EHA2025 It is always a pleasure to catch up with @ScarfoLydia! She spoke about all things CLL🩸
⭐️Updated findings on the BTK degrader BGB-16673
⭐️Optimizing frontline CLL treatment

Brilliant work by @NikhilMunshiMD lab and great presentation by @ASchavgoulidze at #EHA25 !
These studies will hopefully pave the way for novel treatments for del17p #mmsm
Our paper on a novel role for ClpP and mitochondria in #mmsm is finally out @BloodJournal !!

A special thank you to our amazing coauthors Paola Zordan and Matteo Bellone @Bellone_lab and to all the people involved!
Here is our discovery in just one 🖼️
We found that without ClpP MM cells:
🛢️ do not produce enough polyamines, an oil for the cancer engine, and thus stop growing
🦠release mitochondrial DNA that is recognized as "bacterial" by cGAS-STING
🔥release immunogenic signals that boost anti-MM immunity
It’s crazy how talking with a science buddy is simultaneously what’s most likely to move the project forward and the thing that’s least prioritized in our schedule.
So happy and honored for the opportunity to present my work on mitochondrial protease CLPP at #ASH24 !
Thanks for the support of all the friends and the positive feedbacks of great scientists!
Stay tuned for the complete story!
