@TehBahbo@BtamboHLSC@HkytownHang@AnsarKhanMLive Add in the Boras factor. Remember boras had cole opt out to try and get more money out of NY only for Cole to resign for the exact same contract when NY wouldn't budge and Cole didnt want to leave NY
@BtamboHLSC@HkytownHang@AnsarKhanMLive BS the skubal problem is Boras. He won't let skubal sign a contract till he hits free agency. Bras you know they guy who told Cole to opt out with the yankees to get more money only for coke to resign for the exact same contract when NY didn't budge and Cole didnt want to leave
@MPringles676967@seiderstories@JPhoenix7 No player does these days. They always deal through their agents. It's not a thing strolling into the GM's office yourself anymore
@RedWings0919 @Kyrrant Well true, you could argue Gibson's elite play for 3 months that probably isn't sustainable combined with pre-March being the healthiest team in the league by a huge margin covered some of the rosters flaws (terrible 5v5 offense for example)
@tbdClarity@briangoff@GrindLinePod They were rentals yes but had full NMC but their returns were important to 2 teams rebuilds/retools. And sure they needed to move him, just as Detroit may need to move Debrincat if he decides not to extend now
@RodAVanier Mark Carney could send Rod's family to live out the rest of their lives in a North Korean prison camp and Rod would find a way to try and spin it as a positive
@tbdClarity@briangoff@GrindLinePod 3 is more then Kane gave Chicago when he was traded to NY or Panarin gave NY when be was traded to LA. Both them got 1. Heck Debrincat told Ottawa he'd only extend in Detroit that killed their leverage to deal him elsewhere
@RedWings0919 @Kyrrant Look I agree with your point to an extent, the problem is Detroit is NOT winning. They haven't made the playoffs in a decade. It only works if you're proven to win, not well we might win in a few years
@BurnerWjp@NHLRumourReport I mean technically I guess doesn't stop Detroit from calling. You're not doing your dues diligence as a GM if you don't at least listen. Every player has a price (some are just absurdly high that a deal doesn't make sense)
