Onko tässä Apotti-ratikassa nyt siis niin, että kenenkään kiistämättömien julkisten tietojen perusteella:

• Helsingin–Vantaan Ratikkavirasto eli Kaupunkiliikenne osti sveitsiläisen kalustofirman konsultilta koulutuksen itsensä viihdyttämiseksi Sveitsissä ja nimitti sen jälkeen sveitsiläisen kalustofirman koulutuskonsultin omaan hallitukseensa.

• Uppsalassa kilpailutettiin samanlaiset ratikat kuin Helsinki–Vantaalla, tarjouksia saatiin useita, Skoda voitti.

• Ratikkavirasto kilpailutti pääkaupunkiseudun ratikat ja sai yhden sveitsiläisen tarjouksen.

• Ratikkavirasto oli ottanut pari vuotta markkinavuoropuhelua Skodan kanssa, kunnes onneksi oli tajunnut, että Skodalta jos ostaa niin verkostoitumis- ja referenssimatkoille pääsee Kajaaniin ja Pirkkolaan.

• Stadlerilta ostaessa Ratikkaviraston pitää tehdä referenssikäynnit Lausanneen, Geneveen, Milanoon, Lyoniin, Aarhusiin, Alicanteen ja Sheffieldiin (lay-over Lontoossa).

• Ratikkavirasto muutti kolme sekuntia ennen määräaikaa tarjouspyyntöä niin, että koko saatanan vaunu menee uusiksi.

• Sattuman oikusta tarjouspyyntö meni samassa rytäkässä epähuomiossa sellaiseksi, että se on suoraan sveitsiläisten katalogista.

• Skoda sanoi, että hold my beer, menis viikko piirtää nää tuhat sivua uusiks.

• Ratikkavirasto tuumasi, että me on varattu vuosi tyhjäkäyntiä valitusten varalta mutta ei käy, koska ei me haluta teidän ikävään Kajaaniin vaan Alicanteen.

• Ratikkavirastolla on nyt kädessä yksi tarjous, jonka hinta on noussut 65 miljoonaa jo ennen kuin on tehty mitään.

• Hankkeen hinnannousu näyttäisi vielä pahemmalta, ellei Ratikkavirasto olisi meikannut sitä käyttämällä projektiin liittyvää parinkymmenen miljoonan varaumaa jo nyt eli syömällä hätäpäissään etukäteen rahat, joilla sitä hanketta piti vetää.

• Ratikkavirasto väittää, että yksi jatkuvasti ja hämärästi kallistuva tarjous edustaa markkinahintaa.

• Virasto meinaa käyttää hankkeeseensa kaikkiaan 1,6 miljardia.

• Virasto ei alennu kertomaan omistajilleen eli veronmaksajille, mihin tästä rahasta menee 1,3 miljardia (pois lukien referenssikäynnit Baseliin ja Alicanteen).

• 1,3 miljardia on 40 Garden Helsinkiä.

• Jos hinnannousu jatkuu samaa tahtia kuin nyt, 1,3 miljardia on kohta 2–3 miljardia.

• Ratikkavirasto väittää, että ei ne Kajaanin vaunut sovi Helsingiin.

• Virastolla itsellään on jo kymmeniä Kajaanissa tehtyjä vaunuja.

• Ratikkaviraston toimitusjohtajasta ei ole kuulunut mitään, koska hän pani itse itsensä syrjään heti alkuun koko eläinsadusta (kuten tekisi kuka tahansa itsesuojeluvaistolla varustettu toimitusjohtaja).

• Ratikkavirastoa edustavat vailla työkokemusta oleva broileripuheenjohtaja sekä virastomestari, joka vertaa Tampereen ratikkaa ja Raide-Jokerin vaunuja purkukuntoiseen kaksioon.

• Virasto koettaa kynsin hampain pitää broilerin ja virastomestarin poissa julkisuudesta, jotteivät nämä taas tee Kummelin pääministereitä. (Pena sen siinä loppumetreillä keksi että annetaan niille sveitsiläisille 30 vuoden yksinoikeus tukisopimukseen ja salataan kansalta hinta.)

• Ratikkavirasto on miljardiyhtiö, jonka hallituksen valitsevat puolueiden paikallisyhdistykset niistä kakkosketjun ehdokkaista, joille ei riitä valtuustopaikkaa.

• Kunnallisten osakeyhtiöiden ja kuntayhtymien päättäjien suosituimpia keskustelunaiheita ovat tulevien verkostoitumismatkojen kohteet.

• Tampereella nauretaan reidet kipeänä, kun Helsingissä virasto makuuttaa 5 miljoonan vaunuja varikolla (ennätys 1,5 vuotta), koska ei niitä aina kerkiä heti huoltaa.

• Ratikkavirasto harjoittaa itse tuotekehitystä kaupunkien rahoilla ja on pannut insinöörejä kehittämään omaa törmäyksenestojärjestelmää.

• Sellainen tosin on yksityisillä valmistajilla jo valmiina.

• Helsingissä on itse asiassa raitovaunuja ihan liikaa, koska niitä on syytä olla varikolla.

• Helsingissä on ehkä liian alhainen veroäyri, kun menee vaunun huoltamiseen 1,5 vuotta.

On this day 87 years ago, the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany signed the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact.

Presented as a non‑aggression agreement, its secret protocol carved Europe into spheres of influence and paved the way for the five‑decade occupation of the Baltic states, accompanied by mass repressions, deportations and other forms of terror.

37 years ago, two million people joined hands to form the 700‑kilometre Baltic Chain, exposing the existence of the secret protocol and ultimately restoring our independence. Yet the consequences of occupation still echo.

Today we honour every person and every family who suffered under totalitarian regimes, and reaffirm that #neveragain must remain a promise backed by action.

Nearly nine decades later, Russia is once again attempting to redraw borders and impose spheres of influence according to its imperial ambitions, using brute force and aggression. We cannot allow history to repeat itself.

Our support for Ukraine must stay unwavering, and pressure on Russia must remain firm.

Aggression repeats when it carries no consequences. Those who break international law must face accountability.

Norway and the UK drilled the same North Sea.

🇳🇴Norway got $2 trillion.
🇬🇧The UK got tax cuts.

Same basin,Same era.... Completely different outcomes.

Norway captured $30 per barrel in government revenue. The UK captured $11.

That gap, compounded over 50 years of production, is the entire difference.

Norway's model was simple: tax heavily (78% marginal rate), take direct equity stakes in fields via the SDFI, own part of Equinor, and put everything surplus into a fund invested abroad.

The Government Pension Fund Global now holds over $2 trillion in assets.
That's $390,000 per Norwegian citizen about 1.5% of all listed equities on earth.

The fiscal rule: only spend the 3% annual real return. Never touch the principal.

The UK started producing earlier, at lower prices, with a lower tax rate (40%) and no saving mechanism.

North Sea revenues flowed straight into the general budget.

Economists estimate the UK missed out on roughly £400 billion compared to a Norwegian style regime.

The windfall largely financed tax cuts in the 1980s rather than a fund.

Where things stand in 2026?

Norway's petroleum sector will generate $63 bn in net cash flow this year alone feeding a fund already large enough to cover 10-15% of the national budget from returns alone.

The UK is a net energy importer.
Since 2021 it has paid countries like Norway more than £100 billion for gas.

One country treated oil as a finite resource to convert into permanent financial wealth.

The other treated it as income.

I’m coming to the conclusion that the biggest challenge for Enterprise AI, and AI in general , as of now, is that it’s still impossible to make sure that everyone gets the same answer to the same question, every time.

Which is a great response to the doomers. AI doesn’t know the consequences of its output.

Judgement and the ability to challenge AI output is becoming increasingly necessary, and valuable.

Which makes domain knowledge more valuable by the second.

Reporter: What do you make of Republicans saying that Virginia—

AOC: Wah wah wah.

We have asked Republicans for 10 years to ban partisan gerrymandering. And for 10 years, Republicans have said no. Republicans have fought for partisan gerrymanders across the United States of America. And these are the rules that they have set.

And so if the Republican Party wanted to start this, they did this in North Carolina. They drew out three Democratic members of Congress in North Carolina. They did it in Texas.

What they’re just mad at is that they have been accustomed to a Democratic Party that rolls over, doesn’t fight, and takes everything sitting down. And what they’re mad at right now is that we are here in a new day. And we have been asking the Democratic Party to stand up and fight, and now they did—and now the Republican Party doesn’t like the fact that they are fighting against someone who actually will stand up for the American people.

So if Republicans decide that they would like to revisit a ban on partisan gerrymandering, I welcome them. We have the bill right here to end this all today. But they don’t want to, because they like pursuing and continuing to enact an unfair electoral landscape. And so we have an obligation to defend ourselves.
