Surreal scenes at the 19th Hole in Lahinch last night, as players, caddies, families and spectators celebrated the Walker Cup win.

Some (blurry) observations:

The GB&I players were understandably having the night of their lives - singing, dancing, applauded everywhere they went.

Sam Easterbrook and Stuart Grehan were the MVPs, serving pints behind the bar. Dean Robertson was on superb form, and understandably very emotional.

We asked Jack Whaley whether The Masters would compare to this moment. The answer was an easy no.

All credit to the US team, who came to the pub too. Captain Nathan Smith was on an absolute tear, dominating the dance floor.

The US lads look impossibly cool in a backwards cap. Hell of an aesthetic. Hagestad's aura was remarkable.

We've never seen so many hugs, or hugged so many strangers. The energy was unmatched, and we're not sure it'll ever be reached again.

An 11/10 evening to end an epic day. Amazing to be part of it.

Unacceptable that Big Ten Officiating Coordinator Terry Wymer has put Keith Kimble on all 4 Wisconsin Big Ten Tournament Games. Unacceptable. Keith is a great official, this is not putting him in a good spot.
