@Jaredsla IU loses at Notre Dame in the CFP in Cig’s 1st yr as HC. Freeman home loss to eventual 3-9 Stanford his 1st yr as HC at ND. Cig’s next season goes 16-0. Freeman’s 2nd season finished 14th and would’ve missed 12 team playoffs. They are not the same.

IU isn’t used to postseason in football bc they finally have added a meaningful playoff to decide the champion so IU started taking it serious. Went 16-0, something no SEC school has ever done.

@SecKing13 @ShannonTerry Who was the #1 seed in the Sec title game? That is the team that won the Sec regular season. They beat Georgia at Georgia. And then IU beat Alabama a lot easier than Old Dominion. All these things I do know as fact.

They would’ve won last yr too if they could’ve won one of their 2 tough games & made the playoffs. How did Freeman’s 1st yr go?

@Re2pectsport ND had how many 4/5 stars last yr as well as one of highest NIL budgets and they couldn’t even make the playoffs. And now their fans can’t stop posting about the basketball school in the state that just accomplished something they have never been able to do. Sad

@Re2pectsport Actually, in 2024, Indiana decides to invest in their football program for the time in program history after being a basketball school. They go 16-0 and win 12 team playoff becoming National Champs. Notre Dame fans have complete meltdown because they have never done that.

@Jaredsla I remember IU corrected their mistakes from that road playoff loss and went 16-0 on the way to the National Title in a 12 team playoff. Something Notre Dame has never accomplished.

@BarstoolIrish Notre Dame was too scared to play in a bowl game last year. They knew they would lose to a non playoff team and ruin their narrative that they belonged in the playoff. And getting railed is what IU did to Oregon and Alabama last year in the playoffs.

@Fravel_Ryan Giving up 30 at home to Purdue didn’t help Notre Dame’s case for a playoff spot last year. Maybe they should seriously consider dropping Purdue.
