We have received a number of calls this morning relating to flooding across Cornwall.

There is a Yellow Weather Warning for Rain in force until 23:59 today, so properties liable to flooding should look to take action if necessary.

Only call 999 if life is in danger.

Our empty crisp packet recycling scheme has NOW CLOSED. Our fire stations are no longer able to accept your donations, but if you would like to keep recycling them there is a map showing lots of other organisations that are accepting them here: https://t.co/yoOr30FZQN

Our empty crisp packet recycling scheme will end on 31/08/2020. All money raised goes to @firefighters999 & we have currently raised £3,139.50! You can drop off your donations to us every Monday evening in August from 6pm to 8pm. Just ring the door bell

Today saw us return @WadebridgeCFRS Water Rescue Ladder (WRL) back to them. We have been giving it a overhaul, this included replacing some body panels, a deep polish, conversion of emergency lighting over to LED to name but a few.

05:22 Critical Control received a call to a smell of burning in a residential care home in Torpoint. @TorpointCFRS with assistance from @DSFireUpdates and an Officer attended. On arrival a small electrical fire was found and extinguished using a Co2 extinguisher #collaboration

Today we said a good farewell to our longest serving instructor. 30 yrs service, with the last 15 served in the trg dept! Even on his last day he is in the hot units with the same enthusiasm as day 1, a credit to the legend he is!! Best wishes & healthy retirement WM Veale.👨‍🚒🍻
