Ok, here we go: Much of my work concerns the history and return of scientific racism. I’ve written extensively about attempts to resurrect the shuffling corpse of
race science and eugenics for many years. Bigotry dressed up as biology. 1/n
It’s extraordinary that a foreign country displacing a quarter of the population of a sovereign state is being framed as “evacuation orders.”
They’re just expelling people from their homes under threat of being bombed.
The Taylor Swift story is the most unimaginable bilge. It is baseless. It is inane. It erodes the reputation of those who take it seriously far more than those supposedly involved in it. It really is stupid beyond any normal range of expectation https://t.co/kCYFTniSr9
Johnson got drunk at a secret party with a KGB agent in a foreign country after a NATO meeting and the Tory press stay quiet. Starmer meets Taylor Swift in London and they shriek murder. Thats the British press for you.
I remember this gig as being TOUGH. Couple of reasons: one it felt like kind of a “cool kids gig” for hip young Londoners and two, sometimes theatres don’t create the same ambience as comedy clubs.
I said “temperature’s dropped!” to someone I always pass on my walks and he replied, “I actually thought it was quite warm today”
That is NOT in the script. You’re meant to say “winter’s on the way” or “soon be Christmas” or “nights are drawing in”… something that roughly agrees with me, even if it’s not what you actually think. You’re not meant to say the opposite! All I could think to reply was “oh”. Ridiculous behaviour.
I urge you all to follow the official account of the United Nations Peace Keepers in Lebanon who are under attack.@UNIFIL_
Appeasement of Netanyahu has led to this
- nothing is sacred or protected anymore
-peacekeepers have become a target
- children are being targeted
- prisoners are being sexually abused
-civilian populations are being starved
And all while we in the UK continue to supply arms into Israel.
This happened on our watch and future generations will be appalled at how the International community allowed this horror to unfold.
We saw it on our screens .
We had first hand real time accounts from those being targeted.
We heard about it from medics who treated the injured and saw the bodies.
We were warned by journalists.
We had a trial taking place at the ICJ
And we had IDF soldiers and Israeli politicians openly making genocidal statements and posting them for the world to see.
And yet we let this happen.
2024 - the year when the international rules based order became a joke 😢
@paullewismoney@gdavidb76 This is bollocks. My son lives in Amsterdam. If you include their health insurance premium, their tax rates are materially higher than those in the U.K. £ for £. The flip side is that the infrastructure largely functions effectively, and the two things are closely linked.
@paullewismoney In the wild wacky world of the RW press, rich = intelligent.
However they fail to explain why all those with PhDs are not billionaires.
In reality the rich are more likely to be psychopathic/sociopathic with outsized egos and a casual disregard for anyone else.
I welcome this review of my book by @mragilligan in The Times because it proves the very concerns I raise in the book.
Andrew Gilligan was the man who wrote an article about me in 2015 titled “ Islamic radicals at the heart of Whitehall”🙄
The allegations in the article were later dismissed by a government Minister as having no substance! 😜
Gilligans source was a man who was alleged to have suppressed a report detailing Conservative Party links to far right and neo Nazi organisations and individuals.🤯
Gilligans articles have been successfully sued for libel and defamation and newspapers have had to pay substantial damages 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
All the above is detailed in my book Muslims Don’t Matter
So I agree with Gilligan -
Facts matter ✊🏽
Please do read this bitchfest of a review and then join the national conversation I am leading to ensure our country remains an inclusive tolerant space for all - where journalists do not occupy column inches stereotyping, maligning and demonising British Muslims because sadly hate sells .

A few years ago, I visited a rape crisis centre, to find out more about the work that they do to help survivors.
It was an amazing place, run by some really dedicated women.
But when I was there they said something that at the time really shocked me.
They told me that they don’t advise women and girls who have been raped or sexually assaulted to go to court. Obviously they’ll support them if they do decide that they want to pursue a criminal case. But they don’t specifically advise them to do so.
I was really surprised. Why wouldn’t you want to get justice for these awful crimes? So I asked them why.
And they told me – look – the court process is really traumatic. You could wait years. You could be victim blamed in court. You could be re-traumatised. And then after all that… you might not get justice at the end of it. They might get off.
They told me that knowing all that…they can’t hand on heart tell victims that putting your faith in the British justice system is necessarily the right thing to do.
I got it then, I understood it.
It’s pretty depressing, though, isn’t it?
Because the result is victims not getting justice… and rapists…well… it means rapists getting away with it, doesn’t it?
Today on the show we’re taking a long hard look at how the justice system is dealing with sexual violence.
A new report by the Criminal Bar Association shows survivors of rape and sexual assault are among those waiting the longest for their cases to be heard – leading to PTSD and suicidal thoughts.
It takes on average TWO YEARS to get a trial from the point of charge… and some of course are having to wait even longer.
We're focusing on this very powerful report by our correspondent Ashna Hurynag:

Never forget that we had all the scientific evidence we needed to act on global warming over 50 years ago, but the fossil fuel industry spent millions to spread disinformation and block climate action.
Global warming isn’t a tragedy, it’s a crime.
