@Beigerevenge Can be really overwhelming for us ‘kids’ when they suddenly start to need care - in my experience AGE UK were very good at providing advice. You can apply for carer allowance on their behalf and some other things.

@RobinstickC Get antivirals from the doc asap. My mum had shingles 8 years ago and has had debilitating post herpetic neuralgia ever since. Long term nerve damage is more likely in the elderly but still, don’t risk it and get treatment asap.
