Does nobody think it’s just the tiniest bit weird that even Labour MPs think there is nobody - not one person - elected in 2024 who would make a competent PM? Not one.
@AdaLluch It's not his celebration. It's that he lives a completely sinful life of strippers, teenage pregnancies and being an absolute dick and then does this for aura farming.
No British PM has completed a term in office since 2015, despite two of those PMs being elected with landslide majorities. The country is essentially ungovernable - at least under the existing system of governance.
Good luck Burnham.
Fundamental problem is the association of a fake agreeableness with "good". Starmer is a shameless, amoral suit. He is the furthest thing from a "good man".
On a personal level, I feel sad for Keir, who is a decent man. He had the wrong people around him from the start, inherited Tory decimation of the UK, and a fractured Labour. Those who think Andy Burnham is going to radically change the political landscape are either stupid or naive.
@BWallArthur The welfare state is bigger than it's ever been, he's imposing totalitarian laws that remove privacy disguised as child protection and can't bring himself to address the genuine risks to children.
