Last year my son was very sick & eventually diagnosed w Crohn’s disease.
This year, for lots of reasons, I decided to try going 100 days sober.
Today is Day 78 and we’ve raised just over £700 for @CrohnsColitisUK
If you can, please share / donate 💜

@_LisaCherry Wow Lisa you seem to be storming ahead with it. I remember meeting you at an event in Birmingham before you’d even started it and I had just started mine. I’ve still got so much left to do….

Just to say that, as ths story unfolds, I am not buying t language. This “behaviour crisis” is not abt problem children. It is abt us, the grown ups - funding, systems, society. I am holding *us* to account. We can help. But only if we take responsibility. https://t.co/K44dtqPFjY
My notes from a prep call this morning. “What struggles are you seeing in the children?” I always ask. Over & over again these are what I am told. Referrals to SEND for this authority have increased 300%! Covid changed our children. I don’t think we really get this.
There is a scramble to address #burnout in #healthcare staff.
Are efforts being held back by a quick fix mindset, though?
Is there too much emphasis on measuring change, instead of recognising complexity?
