The full report covers all of our key findings, response demographics from our province-wide survey, excerpts from our interviews with community co-investigators, and our report recommendations.
Through this process, our community entrusted us with telling the stories of Two-Spirit, trans, non-binary, and gender non-conforming (2STNBGN) people in Saskatchewan.
TransSask will be holding its Annual General Meeting on Saturday, May 14th, 2022 at 1:00 PM via Zoom. Everyone with a valid and up-to-date TransSask membership is invited to attend.

Today is Trans Day of Visibility. A day to raise awareness of Two-Spirit/IndigQueer, trans, non-binary, and gender non-conforming people in society.
For those in our community that are able to be visible, please take a moment to celebrate yourself today!
For those in our community that are not able to be visible, know that we see you and we will continue to work for a world and society where it is safe to be yourself. Because you deserve to thrive as the person that you are.
Love,
TransSask
While beauty standards change over time they are set by the whims of rich white society and the looks they can achieve to set themselves apart through time and economic power denied to others.
This includes lack of knowledge and training in the surgical care for fat people and denial of procedures simply due to us being 'poor fits' for cosmetic surgeons' lookbooks.
Even basic medical issues are often attributed to fat women's weight instead of actual causes.
Furthermore, anti-fatness is rooted in anti-blackness. Its history runs parallel to white supremacy. Our project manager, Claire, recommends Fearing the Black Body by Sabrina Strings if you're unaware of this shared history. For SK folks, you can get through our library system.
Happy #InternationalWomensDay
Your feminism must include fat women.
Fat trans women are often denied medical care due to systemic anti-fatness in medicine.
