@acottagemouse We're in the same situation so we have to live in a small town an hour out from where my husband works.
It sucks because it ends up costing us so much to drive... But there aren't any jobs closer and the cost of living is too high where he works.
It just sucks
@iWomansplainer This does not sound like a good time to me at all.
But that's just me.
If I have time to vacation, I'd rather go with my family.
And if you're unsure and your husband is not a fan, it will not be a good time.
More than a war on women or a war on men there is a war on beauty, on goodness, justice and on truth.
In our world men can become women, human children aren’t human persons because they are in the womb, in our world murder is labeled healthcare, marriage isn’t a life long commitment, in our world God is not real, in our world parenthood is a trap, motherhood a death, in our world sin is good.
So before you pick up your weapons and wage it against one another, remember there is an ideological war in place that wants you angry, at odds with the people around you who you love, in every way and shape they want you pressured by the evil they have created, the evil they now worship.
Do not let them
Keep building beautiful things
Love your husband
Love your wife
Build a family
Serve God
Serve others
Keep on believing in beauty even if we live in a world so filled with ugliness
What we allow for ourselves is what we foreshadow for our daughters. Would you allow this for your daughter? Is this her life? Her future? You pave the road for your daughter. Where does that road lead?
You’ll hear that phrase “be a parent, not a friend”, and I understand what that means, but also…
your kids can be the very best friends you’ve ever had.
My kids have helped get me through some STUFF when they had no real idea I was going through anything at all. Difficult pregnancies and recoveries, relational conflicts, sicknesses and sadnesses…
right by my side, and never just taking. Giving! Even the youngest. They give such pure love and entertainment and they make the sweetest cards and food trays when a body is down.
And they don’t just receive affection, either! They give the realest hugs, from the sweetest hearts, hugs that reach your pain and soothe you.
That is FRIENDSHIP. And it deserves to be praised and honored and reciprocated. ❤️
Who else would buy a St. Michael the Archangel inflatable like this for their front yard?
I’m tired of seeing witches, and creepy decorations everywhere.
If we’re going to reclaim All Hallows’ Eve, let’s do it with something bold, eye-catching, and anything but lame!
