Hello #UEFN community and @FNCreate employees.
Today I have afew suggestions that I would like to share here so that hopefully they will be implemented and improve UEFN permanently and sustainably.
Please take some time and read through all my suggestions.
I would be happy if you support this post with a repost and like, so that it gets reach and is seen by many.
Suggestion 1: Storage space
It would be good if the general storage space of a map could be significantly increased from the current 100k so that we have more options for adding content without having to constantly ensure that we do not exceed 100k. However, this should be approached slowly to ensure that performance does not suffer.
Suggestion 2: Workflow
We urgently need a general optimization of the workflow so that we can work faster and more efficiently. It is currently a bit annoying, for example, when we open UEFN, start a session from UEFN or have to save large changes and everything simply takes a long time to load until everything is completed. It would also be good if we had the option of deleting old projects completely from the client and not just archiving them, as well as being able to delete old private versions from the dashboard.
Suggestion 3: Client
There is an urgent need for a much smaller extra client that is used exclusively for maps (similar to Roblox). No new player wants to download almost 100 GB to play maps that they have seen on a social media platform, for example. It would very likely attract many new players to see that they might only have to download 2-5 GB instead of almost 100 GB.
Suggestion 4: Statistics
More statistics options would be very good, so that we can understand much more what is good and what should be improved, etc.
Suggestion 5: Advertising
A general system in the dashboard to place advertisements in-game for our maps for a small fee (Maximum 50-100$/โฌ etc, so that many people can afford it and it is not exploited). This increases the visibility of some maps enormously if the creator decides to place ads. We should have the option of placing ads either with V-Bucks (Maximum 13.500) or with real money, such as dollars and euros etc.
Suggestion 6: Algorithm
Improve the entire algorithm so that small creators have the chance to build up a community. The big creators should no longer trend in any categories, as the players who are currently playing the maps anyway have most likely already favored them and will therefore always come back. This would be good for the entire ecosystem in the long run.
Suggestion 7: Moderation system
The moderation system should be sustainably improved so that creators who cannot adhere to certain rules are recognized more quickly and consequences follow if necessary, and also so that the moderation system is less prone to errors.
Suggestion 8: Limitation on publishing new maps
Introduce a monthly limit per creator on how many new maps you can publish (e.g. 2 per month). This would massively curb the general spam from some creators who fill the ecosystem with 10-20 new maps every day and thus block categories and end up earning their money dishonestly.
Do you have any other suggestions for UEFN?
Then please post them here under this post so that they can also be seen.๐
Attention Creators ๐ข We're celebrating the launch of the new season and the Showdown Battle Pass by increasing the revenue share for Battle Pass-related purchases using V-Bucks (gifting not included)!
From March 19, 7 AM ET until March 23, 7 AM ET you'll get a 3X boost to your SAC earnings for the Showdown Battle Pass and pass-related purchases.
@officialvegod That will come with time. Above all, using the various articles correctly will probably be a challenge for you. Do you use any apps to learn?
@FortniteStatus Unbelievable. Since Fornite came out, the number of V-Bucks has been there, and suddenly it's a problem that the number needs to be reduced? That makes absolutely no sense. People will buy fewer V-Bucks rather than more, and I think it will damage the game in the long time.
@juan1fnnn @FortniteStatus@FNCreate Maybe It's a bit too late for that now, because the user data is also gone after everything has been deleted.
But could you still send it to me via DM so that I can use it with another ranking system if it helps everywhere. My DMs are open atm
@juan1fnnn @FortniteStatus@FNCreate I had exactly the same thing. I wanted to open the map and also had problems with my ranking system, so I removed it.
Good update!
This is a step in the right direction.
I hope that this system remains fair and that creators who spend less on ads than others are given the same opportunity.
Hopefully there will be another algorithm update soon that rewards creators for regular updates again.
Also in November, weโre adding a prominent Sponsored Row in Discover so creators can choose to spend money to receive increased visibility for their islands. All creators will have transparent market data to bid for placement in the row and enter an auction to surface islands in the new Sponsored Row. Long-term, 50% of sponsorship revenue generated by Sponsored Row will go into the engagement payout pool, boosting the pool size for all creators. From launch through the end of 2026, this rate will be 100%.
That could have been Fortnite/UEFN. But instead, it looks like Fortnite is slowly going down the drain.
I know I keep bringing up these topics, but it's important for me that these issues are addressed over and over again so that they might be seen, even if I can't get the ball rolling on my own.
The entire UEFN sector urgently and quickly needs changes that are important for the future so that UEFN does not become irrelevant in the coming years. The standard game modes will not be able to keep the game afloat forever, as you can currently see that the number of players is falling with each new season. We need to work together with the community in order to achieve certain goals and respond directly to feedback. Smaller creators urgently need permanent support so that they don't get lost in the system and are seen, because there are certainly one or two who spend months on a map and invest a lot of time and love and then perhaps only have 40 players in the end.
It has to stop that creators get a ban out of nowhere because they allegedly violate the rules, although they use the content from UEFN directly (example currently @creator_ramzez ), that just completely kills the motivation to work on new things. Another example is the permanent, invisible algorithm. For 2 months, for example, he noticed me after every update I uploaded to a map and pushed me so that I got several hundred players, and suddenly, out of nowhere, I'm no longer noticed despite regular updates.
I could go on and on with this list, but I'll leave it for now.
@FNCreate Please do something for the platform so that it is sustainably improved and new players join, and the current players and creators don't leave the platform completely. That would also be in your interest.
Roblox has broken the record of most concurrent users on a platform, ever, with a peak of 47,296,412 players.
This beats the previous record held by Steam, with them having 41,239,880 players on their platform.
Does anyone know if the algorithm has been adjusted?
For a few days now I've been completely ignored again after publishing an update, which was completely different the last few weeks and I was rewarded for updating regularly.
#UEFN#Fortnite
I started using UEFN at the end of 2023, and it's really cool that I can create my own content for the Fortnite universe. But something urgently needs to change, and a lot of things simply need to be improved. It would also be good if the community were involved in some aspects of this.
@Bmatheson_6@GhostOnUEFN Yes, it completely fails for me with Verse xd.
There is also the beta version of the AI, but so far it hasn't given me anything useful when I wanted to test it with a ranked system, for example.
