Billionaires are draining our resources to develop a technology they want to replace us, millions will lose Medicaid in the new year to pay for tax cuts for the rich, and we’re spending billions on genocidal wars the voters oppose.
But sure, let’s keep talking about Hasan Piker.
The fact that all of our Dem messaging apparatus is scrapped the day after the election while Ben Shapiro and Andrew Tate, Rogan and such do year long propoganda is part of our losing battle. No one changes their views from someone they found 2 month before the election
“Many of us have been fiercely supportive of Democatic candidates and principles.”
If you’re willing to endorse a Trump lackey over a left-wing Democrat critical of Israel—and help the GOP hold the Senate in the process—you never cared much about Democratic principles.
It doesn’t matter if you don’t know who Natalie is—it’s a shibboleth to a certain Online Type who will share this clip and hopefully others. It triggers broader distribution by Blue MAGA.
By many measures, the Colorado economy has been growing. But if you take a closer look, you'll see that greater wealth continues to be concentrated in the hands of a small proportion of the population. This is why we need a graduated income tax. https://t.co/gTXPqomVeV
Hasan Piker on national support for Hong: “I should never be the biggest surrogate of a campaign”
Seems a bit too easy to try and blame Hong’s loss on Piker—the reality is for most of the campaign he was the biggest voice boosting her efforts on the left, raising thousands of dollars, doing long form policy focused interviews
The difference was unlike with El Sayed, those efforts didn’t happen alongside the backing of others more national voices in the movement (seems mostly out of fear of what a general election loss could mean)
But you could easily chalk up some of Hong’s better days on the campaign (pre ThanksgivingGate) to days she was either live with Piker raising over $50k in a single stream or when he was campaigning with her
The Democratic Party is a coalition that spans everything from center to socialist.
Each part needs the other. Our voters aren’t looking for ideological supremacy. They’re looking for purpose and leadership.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be! Amen!
Don't get too caught in the final margin in Michigan.
Consider that a candidate who was outspent 9-1, had the sitting governor and current Senate Democratic leader endorse against him and holds policy positions long-considered toxic just won a Senate primary in a swing Midwestern state.
It's a VERY big deal.
Whatever you think about Hasan Piker, he’s using his platform to campaign for candidates in ways no one else really ever has before — IRL streams with candidates for hours, raising thousands of dollars:
The graduated income tax that we're working so hard to get to the ballot will save you money if you're part of the 97% of Coloradans who make less than $500K a year. Check out our calculator at https://t.co/rOSrMCmgRC and sign the petition if you haven't yet!!
PSA, I deleted this post last week bc I screwed it up. DSA didn’t have a candidate in any House race; it did have some downballot success. I should have just said “DSA didn’t actually have a candidate in Arizona House races but…”
Highlighting now because there is a lot of purposeful confusion of who’s DSA, who isn’t, what’s in the platform and what’s in Workers Deserve More, etc. Obviously it’s in any R’s interest to find the most unpopular DSA idea and say his opponent endorses that until that opponent says otherwise.
