The simulation showed none of the these possible deviations and so looks perfect, that I get, but we all know that the way its done today is sub-optimal and literally targeted at status-consciousness over efficiency.

The splitting up parties thing is not something I thought about so I can see that as a tripwire. Following instructions exist in this scenario and all others so must be considered system contestant and weighed fairly on both sides. The late boarding is easy: if you aren't here when your number is called, you wait til the end. Still might delay things, though.

the simulation showed that even with minor delay and deviation, it would still be better, I thought. I fly a ton, and there is never a time when I haven't thought "There has to be a better way."

I have status on the majors and their unified message is: "You can board first-ish. Everyone that is mad that you boarded first will then walk by you on their way towards the back." I'd feel like it was a perk if I got to board last, and deplane first.

@adamcanthony @rod_mallo is it hard to organize pre boarding if you simply say "Everyone boards based on the number on their ticket, no exceptions?" Or maybe exceptions for those in wheelchairs and children and nothing else?

@Jason I had the CoCo2, no monitor, you plugged it up to the TV. It had a slot on the side for "program packs." It had 8k of Ram which was enough for me to learn some BASIC and that I didn't want to code anything again for 40 years.

Most VCs won't share #2 with the founders, preferring to keep them in the dark so they don't have to engage in an uncomfortable conversation. They will often comment that "founders don't want to hear the truth," but that's a VC trope. No entrepreneur worth his salt would take #2 on its face without deeper conversation which most times VCs can't give.

@andrewmccalip It's cheesy but I default to having the model give me a TL;DR on complicated responses that take more than a paragraph in response. Adds marginal cost, but I can find the waypoints faster.
