We need to have conversations on how much gamers expect massive games just because it’s an anniversary
Like sure it’s cute to have things line up, but if shit’s not ready let it cook. Sonic fans ESPECIALLY should know what rushing a game for an anniversary results in
@TheNCSmaster Very true, Sonic fans need to look back on how that turned out in the past. Heck even the Frontiers IGN Gameplay Showcase speaks for itself.
But to be fair I personally would’ve liked some ports of the Adventure or Advance games as a nice holdover for the time being.
@MatElFunado@dreamy_dot_dev It was ahead of its time for 1989 standards. I mean how cool was it to have an RPG not be about Medieval Fantasy and instead take place in Rural America? There’s an alternate timeline where we kept getting Mother games past 3 and by now we’d probably be waiting on Mother 6 or 7.
I know it was made before Tooie, but DK64 is probably the closest thing that we’ll ever have to the third Banjo game we all wanted as kids.
Same team, same music, similar gameplay loop, same art style. Some of the game’s worlds were even cut from the original BK.
