I stand before you today as a journalist covering a critical, highly public story the Nancy Guthrie case. My goal has always been to keep the public informed and to support the Guthrie family with transparency. In my coverage, I simply showed what the @FBI had officially released. I described what was already public and what all new stations and journalist are posting and it’s a video of the potential kidnapper of the Nancy Guthrie case nothing more, nothing less.

Despite this, my live stream was shut down and disabled. This is not just a blow to me this is a blow to journalism and to free speech. We live in a society that values the right to report, discuss, and question. I followed every guideline, violated no policies, and yet my voice and the facts were silenced. This is a moment to remember: protecting journalism means protecting our right to truth. @TeamYouTube @YouTubeCreators I have been a creator for you for many years and respect your platform but this right here genuinely hurts.
