I believe in being honest with my audience, so here it is.

I have a bias against Gentner Drummond becoming Oklahoma’s next governor, and I have a bias in favor of policies that align with President Trump’s America First agenda.

Based on my research so far, I intend to vote for Mike Mazzei.

That doesn’t mean I give anyone a free pass.

I’ve spent considerable time researching Mazzei in the past and did not uncover anything that raised major concerns for me. In politics, that tells me something. The deeper I dig into Drummond’s history, the more stories, controversies, relationships, and unanswered questions I seem to find.

So if you see me posting about Gentner Drummond, Wendy Drummond, family members, business associates, donors, political allies, or influential friends, understand the reason.

A governor does not walk into the Governor’s Mansion alone.

Every elected official brings a network with them. Advisors. Donors. Family. Business partners. Political operatives. Longtime allies. Those relationships matter because they often shape decisions, priorities, and influence once someone takes office.

My interest is not limited to one individual. It is understanding the entire ecosystem surrounding a potential governor and helping voters understand who and what may be coming through the door with them.

Going forward, some of my posts may be edgy. Some may make people uncomfortable. Some may challenge narratives that supporters would rather leave unexamined.

That is part of investigative reporting.

I will continue looking at Mike Mazzei as well. If I find something newsworthy, I’ll report it. If I find something that changes my opinion, I’ll tell you that too.

My goal is not blind loyalty to a politician.

Taxpayers deserve to know:

Santa Fe South Schools, led by Chris Brewster, has received millions in Redbud funds — tax dollars generated from medical marijuana sales that were meant for school improvements.

At the same time:

🏫 Santa Fe South ranks #210 out of 452 Oklahoma districts
⭐ Overall rating: 3 out of 5
📉 Main Crossroads campus:
• Math proficiency: 3–5%
• English proficiency: 15–16%
• GreatSchools rating: 2 out of 10

Yet…

💰 The Crossroads Mall redevelopment tied to Brewster and related entities is projected at $80–85 MILLION

That raises real questions:

❓ Are public education dollars helping build private real estate value?
❓ Who owns the assets when the value increases?
❓ Why are academic outcomes still lagging while development keeps growing?
❓ Is this about kids… or control?

Let’s be clear:

This is not anti-school.
This is pro-accountability.

Because Oklahoma is already failing in education.

Being “slightly above average” in a state ranked near the bottom nationally is not the flex some people think it is.

Our kids deserve more than new buildings and excuses.

They deserve results.
