@SSalim0002@BlogJulianKomar i recall Ed gave these rules in his interview with Jack Schwager in the "market wizards" book & Jack actually asked him on the record to clarify the apparent contradiction. So Ed's clarification is also available. Ed is a genius, not just a great trader. remember that interview?
Financial markets are inherently unstable and require regulation to avoid self destruction. But the regulators are also human, all too human...

@markminervini Apology accepted Mark. But why the continuing expletives & adjectives? Unbecoming for a man of your professional calibre, specially as an author. After all your success, it's time also to acquire some personal grace. How long can a bad childhood be used to justify bad manners?
@markminervini It was quite presumptive of you to tell me to "learn to get rich". Anyway, you are a great stock trader and I would like to respect you as a person too. Many people learn many things from you here. I just tweet in the public interest and as a new hobby attempt. Not here to sell
we know trading principles comprise 2 elements: (a) strategy; & (b) money management. Item (b) is vital but common to any strategy & so a misconception to describe it as an "edge", or "holy grail". A valid "edge" should instead derive from item (a) e.g. signal method etc.
@markminervini thanks. I have read your books. They do a great job of collecting & popularizing prior concepts e.g. Jiler's triangle pattern re-invented as VCP. The risk sections r particularly good. U a great stock trader, but its unwise to assume that everybody is born poor, or is a sycophant
@markminervini Many thanks for reply and yes indeed, but that's precisely the characteristic of the "triangle pattern" described by Jiler in 1962. Thus my persisting confusion. Its fine if they are the same thing, just wanted to clarify. thanks again and good day to u.
@markminervini ok many thanks. Mark Richie II stated in a weekly member q&a sometime last year that you don't practice, or teach double bottoms or head and shoulder patterns. In so saying, he was basically refusing to answer a member's question. So u may wish to correct him for the record.
@saxena_puru hi Puru. I admire your educational contribution on Twitter. quick question: why firstly buy beaten down growth names that may base indefinitely? as resources are by definition scarce, why not instead buy the names showing relative strength? cheers
@LanceLanell1@markminervini Also did you see I started by praising mark as a great stock trader that he doubtless is. But facts are facts and itβs necessary to call out the bull-shit in the public interest, notwithstanding the sycophant noise.
@LanceLanell1@markminervini whatβs βboatloadsβ to me, maybe peanuts to you. As mentioned, Minervini is arguably the pinnacle of 2:1 strategy, but in fact, heβs relatively small-time, who could never even get into fund management. USA has many younger but wealthier people with lawyer & banking jobs!
