My issue with "AI will replace developers" is the assumption that writing code was ever the hard part. Juniors have written code alone for decades without becoming senior by output volume. Reviewing it well might be the actual moat.

If a PR only has an AI approval on it, that's not a review, that's a rubber stamp with extra steps. Someone still has to be accountable for what ships, and "the agent said it looked fine" isn't that.

The idea makes sense. Developers lose real hours to builds, installs and agents. An opt-in sponsor card that only appears on qualified waits, with local controls and strict data boundaries, turns dead time into potential revenue without force. Pre-launch, so sponsor quality and fair payouts will decide it, but the design principles look solid.
