Portal is an open-source (AGPL) messenger built entirely on MLS (RFC 9420)

Every DM and group is an MLS group, and the server only relays cipher text
Portal doesn't hold keys, and you can host it yourself

- Chat, media and storage in one Docker Compose stack
- Roles, moderation and anonymous stranger chats
- Public and private groups
- E2EE group calls on your own LiveKit server
- Rift: a shared GPU/CPU rooms
- Passkey-only, no passwords

If you want to help me design it, let me know! I need help!

@ClaudeDevs How do you tweak the md to understand what is important enough to relay?

How do you prevent over tweaking?

If I have 100 messages. How does it prioritize the top 5? How would you test for that?
