@iamtobster@theJeremyVine I would like to think police officers could control a dog without resorting to shooting it , however I appreciate they may be experts in dog handling
@GilliesLorraine @Prev_Justice I agree to a certain extent but many local areas are seeing a rise in asb involving young people, particularly at bus stations, and to not acknowledge it means we won’t deal with it properly.. resources aren’t in place to support the young people or the wider community
@IndyBint@heraldscotland Is this an evidenced response ? As someone who works in community safety, there is a definite rise of asb at bus stations in particular , I think there are clearly many other reasons in the mix but to deny any link to bus pass is what causes us always to fall short
Well done to Rachel and Liam who recently delivered two presentations to Level 6 Students @fifecollege on Justice #socialwork in #Fife. Great group of students who asked excellent questions. One of the students drew this picture which he felt captured our staff perfectly 🦸♂️🦸♀️👏
One year ago the absurd war against Ukraine began. Let us remain close to the tormented Ukrainian people, who continue to suffer, and let us ask ourselves: has everything possible been done to stop the war? Peace built on rubble will never be a true victory.
PC’s Lynch and Morrison spoke to the 39th Fife Scout Group regarding the dangers and consequences of drug and alcohol misuse. They also answered questions about being Police Officers.

In the last couple of weeks I've learned from the police / media if I want to avoid going missing or being murdered I need to:
Not be too ambitious or high-achieving.
Not earn more than my partner (too late)
Not go to a park.
Not to drink alcohol.
Not to go through menopause.
Women, make sure you never have a problem with alcohol or struggle with the menopause.
Because if you do and you go missing it will be solely blamed on that.
The less we think of Nicola by victim blaming the less people think of her full stop.
Good distraction🚩

@blablafishcakes@NHSTayside Whenever I've seen NHS public awareness drives on Prostate Cancer, they all manage to state very clearly that MEN are in need of the checkups. Man/Men/Males. And it's never (yet) ‘People with Prostates’. 🤔
A brilliant feminist said to me recently that if we thought too hard about how men treat women, we would never leave the house. But this month alone: Andrew T*te, Carrick, Epsom, female MPs being physically intimidated in Parliament by male colleagues. I am so so full of sad rage
Male violence is so common, so normalised, so much the water we swim in, that I'll wager nobody believed anything but this outcome, when the case broke.

Hard to find words on some current news stories. 😔Every single woman lives her whole life overshadowed by the possibility of male violence, & something needs to change. And the outcry is always from women, but it should be men themselves who are devastated & seeking solutions.
